The Friday Pulse is live. And this week it is about the number I haven't been able to stop thinking about. AI spend in UK organisations is going up 44% this year. Training budgets are growing at 5%. And the average time set aside for employees to actually learn? It's gone down. We are buying more tools and investing less in the people expected to use them. At the same time. In the same budget cycle. And then wondering why adoption is slow. This week's Technology Coaching Pulse digs into the gap between access and confidence, why it's where most AI ROI goes to die, and what the organisations actually getting results are doing differently.

Most businesses don't have a technology problem. They have a tool selection problem. 59% of businesses regret at least one software purchase made in the last 18 months. More than half. And that was before AI tools started landing in every inbox with a convincing pitch and no compliance foundation in sight. And with AI tools landing in inboxes faster than anyone can properly evaluate them, that problem is getting more expensive by the week. The Technology Coaching Pulse is back. Every Friday. Straight-talking insights on the digital skills that actually matter for your business. This week we're talking tools, AI compliance, and why the questions nobody is asking right now are the ones that will cost the most later.

The leaders I pay attention to aren’t the loudest They’re the ones who make me think They share what they’ve actually learned They talk about the hard parts as well as the wins They create space for others to show up too And that’s the shift That’s what real leadership looks like online Not perfection Not follower count But honesty, consistency, and value 🎧 Want the full episode? https://lnkd.in/eeTSkYJN Sooz Young

🌊 You don’t need a huge audience to have influence You just need to decide what you stand for And show up consistently Because influence compounds One post that makes someone think differently One piece of content that builds trust One moment that shows what you actually stand for It all adds up That ripple effect That’s where real impact happens 🎧 Want the full conversation? We were proud to have our founder Sooz Young Young in the room as a Tech Coach at last week’s AccelerateHER x Techscaler Female Founder Hackathon in Dumfries. One day. Four founders. A cross-disciplinary team of developers, UX designers, product specialists, and digital strategists all working together to help early-stage businesses move forward faster. It was a brilliant event. And it surfaced something we see consistently, not just with startup founders, but with established businesses and growing teams too. Organisations invest in one part of their digital setup. And leave the rest to chance. A new website gets built. But it has no compliance pages, no cookie consent, and no connection to the CRM. An AI tool gets adopted. But nobody has documented which model is being used, where the data goes, or what the terms of that data processing actually mean for the business. A social media presence gets created. But it is not linked to the website, not connected to any automation, and not generating anything measurable. This is not a technology problem. It is a strategy problem. And it is a significantly more common one than most leadership teams would be comfortable admitting. The businesses that operate with the most digital confidence are not necessarily the ones with the biggest tech budgets. They are the ones that have taken the time to understand how all the components of their digital infrastructure connect and depend on each other. That is precisely what the Tekunoji® Method was built to address. It covers six areas: strategy, web presence, systems and automation, content, data and AI, and cyber security. Not as individual workstreams, but as an integrated framework. Because a weakness in one area creates risk across all of them. If your organisation is growing, adopting AI tools, or preparing for any kind of external scrutiny whether that is investment, partnership, or regulatory, it is worth asking honestly: does our digital setup reflect the maturity of our business? If the answer is uncertain, that is where we start. Technology Coaching works with businesses and leadership teams to audit, align, and build digital infrastructure that is fit for purpose, not just functional on the surface.
