Job Title: Marketing Manager

Location: Flexible hybrid working, based from our Bristol City Centre HQ

Salary: £45,000–£50,000 per annum

Best.Energy is a leading cleantech company in the energy efficiency space, providing energy monitoring, management and smart building services to clients across the world.

We have a distributed workforce, primarily based in the UK, with satellite offices in Malaysia, Kenya and the United States. We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to join our UK team and provide clear operational leadership across marketing delivery.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will take ownership of delivering the agreed marketing plan, translating strategic priorities into campaigns, briefs and timelines that generate measurable results.

This is a hands-on management role for an experienced B2B marketer who is confident leading people, managing agencies and budgets, and using data, technology and automation to improve delivery. You will bring structure, pace and accountability to the marketing function, reducing the need for senior leadership involvement in day-to-day delivery decisions.

Main Responsibilities Include:
  • Marketing Delivery: Own the delivery of the marketing plan agreed with the Head of Marketing, translating priorities into clear campaigns, briefs, timelines and execution plans.
  • Campaign Management: Oversee integrated marketing campaigns across digital, content, email, social media and lead generation channels, ensuring activity is joined-up and focused on commercial outcomes.
  • Agency Management: Manage relationships with external agencies, including paid media partners, setting clear expectations and challenging performance, spend and output quality.
  • Budget and Performance: Oversee marketing budgets, delivery timelines, performance tracking and ROI reporting, providing clear insights and recommendations to the Head of Marketing.
  • Digital Marketing: Work closely with the Senior Digital Marketing Executive to ensure campaigns and digital projects are delivered effectively and continuously optimised.
  • AI and Automation: Identify opportunities to use AI, automation and marketing technology to streamline repetitive tasks, improve campaign delivery and reporting, and increase the team’s capacity for higher-value work.
  • HubSpot: Support the marketing team and wider business to make full use of HubSpot across campaign delivery, automation, lead management and reporting.
  • Team Leadership: Line manage marketing roles, setting clear priorities, standards and accountability while supporting individual development and progression.
  • Market Insight: Maintain an understanding of customer needs, market trends and competitor activity, using insights to strengthen campaign delivery and messaging.

Required Skills:
  • A minimum of five years’ experience within marketing, including experience operating at management or senior delivery level.
  • Proven experience successfully delivering B2B marketing campaigns that support lead generation, pipeline growth or wider commercial objectives.
  • Experience managing or mentoring marketing team members and holding others accountable for delivery.
  • Experience managing external marketing agencies, including paid media partners.
  • Strong working knowledge of paid media, digital marketing, lead generation and campaign optimisation.
  • Experience managing budgets, timelines, performance metrics and ROI reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret campaign data and turn insights into practical improvements.
  • Confidence using AI and automation tools to improve marketing workflows, productivity and output quality, with an understanding of accuracy, data protection and appropriate human oversight.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, ideally with experience using a project management platform such as Asana.
  • Confident communication skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and work effectively across teams.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or a similar CRM and marketing automation platform.

Experience within SaaS, technology, energy or sustainability would be beneficial, as would previous experience within a fast-paced marketing agency environment.

Working Location

Our UK office is based in central Bristol. Following an initial induction period, the successful candidate would be expected to attend the office approximately one day per week, with flexibility depending on business and team requirements.
