I have always been interested in the mechanisms underlying human behavior. A bachelor's degree in General Biology helped me get acquainted with the physiological and neural mechanisms of living systems. Also, a master’s degree in Biology-Microbiology gave me the opportunity to investigate the cellular level of organisms. After graduation, I worked as a lecturer of Biology at Payame Noor University for more than three years, which increased my understanding of the basic biological processes underlying human behavior. Also, teaching in the university promoted my ability to communicate effectively with academics and students. My constant questions about the factors affecting decision making persuaded me to get another master's degree, but this time in cognitive sciences. After I was admitted to the Master’s Program in Cognitive Psychology at the University of Kurdistan, my studies centered on the role of executive control in social cognition, and we published three conference papers on this topic. In my master thesis, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmad Sohrabi, I investigated the “Local and global processing in theory of mind and executive functions.” After defending my second master’s thesis on June 25, 2017, I was admitted to the Raha clinic for cognitive occupational therapy, and started to work on patients with cognitive dysfunctions, using nowadays methods and techniques, such as tDCS, EEG, virtual reality and computer games. Currently, I am working as a lecturer of psychology in the Department of Education and Psychology at the University of Raparin.
