To ensure successful breastfeeding, mothers need the support from fathers and families, guidance from health workers, breastfeeding-friendly workplaces, and policies that give mothers the time and conditions they need to care for their babies during the earliest months of life. TĂNG CƯỜNG HỢP TÁC, KIẾN TẠO TÁC ĐỘNG TÍCH CỰC VÌ TRẺ EM Ngày 30/7/2026, Save the Children Việt Nam phối hợp cùng UBND tỉnh Đắk Lắk tổ chức Hội thảo "Tăng cường hợp tác và chia sẻ kinh nghiệm trong triển khai các dự án phát triển và hỗ trợ nhân đạo" tại Đắk Lắk, với sự tham dự của gần 50 đại biểu đến từ các bộ, ngành trung ương, lãnh đạo địa phương, các tổ chức xã hội, khu vực tư nhân, đối tác phát triển và đại diện trẻ em. Từ những kết quả hợp tác giai đoạn 2022–2026, hội thảo khẳng định vai trò của quan hệ đối tác đa bên trong việc huy động và kết nối nguồn lực, chia sẻ kinh nghiệm và cùng xây dựng những mô hình hợp tác linh hoạt, hiệu quả nhằm đáp ứng tốt hơn nhu cầu của trẻ em và cộng đồng trong bối cảnh nguồn lực dành cho phát triển đang có nhiều thay đổi. Một điểm nhấn của chương trình là phiên "Tiếng nói trẻ em Đắk Lắk", nơi các em trực tiếp chia sẻ những nhu cầu, mong muốn và góc nhìn của mình, góp phần giúp các bên cùng định hình những giải pháp phù hợp hơn cho trẻ em. Cũng trong khuôn khổ hội thảo, dưới sự chứng kiến của lãnh đạo UBND tỉnh Đắk Lắk và đại diện các bộ, ngành, Save the Children Việt Nam đã trao thư cam kết tài trợ cho hai dự án mới tại Đắk Lắk với tổng giá trị khoảng 41 tỷ đồng, góp phần tăng cường năng lực ứng phó thiên tai, thúc đẩy sản xuất cà phê có trách nhiệm và bảo vệ trẻ em tại địa phương. Trước hội thảo, các đại biểu cũng đã đến thăm 03 nông hộ sản xuất cà phê trong vùng dự án của Save the Children, tìm hiểu những mô hình đang góp phần cải thiện môi trường học tập, sinh kế và chất lượng cuộc sống của trẻ em và gia đình. Khi thế mạnh của mỗi bên được kết nối và trẻ em được lắng nghe, những khoản đầu tư cho phát triển sẽ tạo ra tác động bền vững hơn cho cộng đồng.

Dak Lak Province and Save the Children Vietnam Strengthen Their Partnership for Children On 29 July, the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province and Save the Children Vietnam held a mid-term review meeting of their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), reaffirming their shared commitment and setting priorities for cooperation in 2026–2028. From January 2024 to June 2026, Save the Children supported the implementation of 09 grants in Dak Lak Province, including 05 development grants worth VND 62.116 billion and 04 emergency response grants worth VND 6.660 billion, bringing the total value of support to approximately VND 68.776 billion. The partnership has delivered meaningful results across four priority areas: • Health and Nutrition: More than 91,700 people were reached directly and indirectly, contributing to a reduction in the neonatal mortality rate in Ea Sup District from 9.15 to 0 per 1,000 live births. • Education: 12,155 people directly benefited from initiatives that improved learning environments, access to clean water and nutrition for thousands of students. • Child Protection: More than 9,500 people were reached, including over 7,000 children who are now better protected through safer environments in coffee supply chain communities. In addition, 30 coffee businesses and farm owners have begun integrating child protection principles into their operations. • Emergency Response: 10,000 people, including children and other vulnerable groups affected by disasters, received humanitarian assistance. The meeting also shared updates on two upcoming projects focusing on Disaster Risk Reduction and Child Protection, reaffirming the commitment of both partners to mobilise resources, share expertise and expand initiatives that create lasting opportunities for children across Dak Lak Province.

July 25 - World Drowning Prevention Day Summer is the time for children to explore the world around them, to swim and to play with their friends and their beloved ones. But for that joy to be complete, every adult needs to become a “circle of safety” for children. Just one life jacket worn at the right time.  Just one watchful eye that never looks away.  Just one water safety skill taught early.  Just one loving reminder before a child enters the water.  All of these can make a difference. Together with Sunny, let’s spread the message: drowning prevention is not only a summer skill, but a commitment to protecting children’s lives, smiles, and futures. For a safer summer for every child. 

SAVE THE CHILDREN: MORE THAN THREE DECADES OF PARTNERSHIP FOR CHILDREN IN HO CHI MINH CITY    Being presence in Viet Nam since 1990, Save the Children is proud to have close partnership with Ho Chi Minh City in shared efforts to promote children’s rights, protect children, and expand development opportunities for the groups of children who need support the most.    From strengthening child protection systems in 50 communes and wards; building safe and child-friendly learning environments in more than 100 schools; to models such as School Dialogue, Girls’ Clubs, Children’s Forums and policy consultations – this journey has been shaped by the long-standing collaboration between Save the Children and local partners. 🌍 WORLD YOUTH SKILLS DAY 15.7  When learning is not only about knowledge, but also a journey of self-discovery  As part of the Skills to Succeed project, Save the Children organized a training series for core student groups in Can Tho, covering topics such as peer learning, self-awareness, growth mindset, and skills for future career readiness.  But what made this activity meaningful was not simply the chance to “learn one more skill.” It was the way young people came together to create a space where they could learn, share, reflect, and grow with one another.  💭 From conversations about FOMO, peer pressure, and identity crisis, to activities that encouraged students to reflect on themselves through the journey of “Me – Me and Others – Me and the World,” each experience became a small but meaningful step in the larger journey of growing up.  📚 The training series also serves as preparation for core student groups to continue organizing workshops, thematic talks, and student-led initiatives at their own schools, with the aim of strengthening self-learning, collaborative learning, and readiness for the future.  ✨ For Save the Children, what matters is helping create learning environments where young people feel that they have a voice, they are being heard, they matter, and that they can grow together.  #S2S #PeerLearning #SelfAwareness #YouthDevelopment #SaveTheChildren #CungHocCungPhatTrien

🌿 REDAA supports green livelihoods in Song Dam As part of its efforts to promote ecosystem-based enterprises (EBEs), Save the Children and its partners are not only supporting communities to develop their products, but also helping connect local values with more sustainable market opportunities. From 25–28 June 2026, at the Tam Thanh Sea Festival in Da Nang, the project “Innovative Finance for Ecosystem-based Enterprise Development” (REDAA) together with local partners organized the “Song Dam Green Livelihoods Space”, where producers, livelihood groups, cooperatives, and small business models in Quang Phu introduce their products, services and livelihood stories linked to the Song Dam ecosystem. This is an important first step for the project to identify potential EBE models, listen to their support needs, test market feedback, and connect them with resources in business skills, product development, communications, finance, and market access. The activity is part of REDAA project’s longer-term support journey to promote livelihood models that help communities increase their income while protecting and restoring the Song Dam ecosystem. When given the opportunity to leverage their indigenous values, communities can simultaneously promote nature conservation and sustainable livelihoods. 

Strong partnerships begin with strong proposals. Nearly 80 local government officials in Thanh Hoa joined a capacity-strengthening workshop co-organized by Save the Children and the Thanh Hoa Department of Foreign Affairs on developing project proposals for non-refundable international assistance. Through practical exercises and real-life case discussions, participants strengthened their skills in identifying needs, defining objectives, developing results frameworks, budgeting, and preparing project documents that better meet donor requirements. By investing in local capacity, we are supporting stronger partnerships and helping ensure that more resources reach children and communities where they are needed most. CHIẾN LƯỢC PHÁT TRIỂN TRẺ EM - TẦM NHÌN VÀ CAM KẾT VÌ TƯƠNG LAI TƯƠI SÁNG CHO MỌI TRẺ EM     Ngày 30/6/2026, Save the Children vinh dự đồng hành cùng Cục Bà mẹ và Trẻ em, Bộ Y tế tại Hội thảo góp ý Dự thảo lần thứ 4 Chiến lược Quốc gia về Phát triển Trẻ em giai đoạn 2026-2035, tầm nhìn đến năm 2045. Hội nghị có sự tham gia của hơn 70 đại biểu đến từ các bộ, ngành và các tỉnh, thành phố.  Chiến lược phát triển trẻ em không chỉ là một văn bản chính sách quan trọng, đó là tầm nhìn, là cam kết đầu tư và phát triển thế hệ tương lai, đảm bảo rằng mọi trẻ em, dù sinh ra ở đâu, trong hoàn cảnh nào, đều xứng đáng được lớn lên an toàn, khỏe mạnh, được lắng nghe, được học tập, được bảo vệ và được trao cơ hội để phát triển hết tiềm năng của mình.  Trong một thế giới đang thay đổi nhanh chóng bởi công nghệ, biến đổi khí hậu, di cư, đô thị hóa và những thách thức mới về sức khỏe tinh thần, an toàn số và bất bình đẳng, việc đặt trẻ em ở trung tâm của các quyết sách hôm nay chính là cách chúng ta kiến tạo tương lai bền vững cho Việt Nam ngày mai.  Save the Children cam kết tiếp tục đồng hành cùng Chính phủ Việt Nam, các bộ, ngành, địa phương, đối tác và cộng đồng để thúc đẩy việc thực hiện các chính sách, chương trình và giải pháp dựa trên bằng chứng, lấy quyền và lợi ích tốt nhất của trẻ em làm nền tảng.
