The Next Big Thing Sale is one of our favorite sales of the year for two reasons. First, we're happy to share with you some of the best tunes of 2008 that you might not yet know. And second, all 40 of our featured albums are available for just $5.99 or $6.99 each. Last year's sale featured then-unknowns such as Sara Bareilles and Hot Chip, and we think this year's collection is jam-packed with more of your future favorite bands.

Radiohead

"Nude," the third song on Radiohead's latest release, In Rainbows, is a moment of both bliss and calm in a record that is largely energized. Now Radiohead, iTunes, and GarageBand are giving fans the opportunity to remix this new single. Fans can mix five "stems" in any way they like, either by adding their own beats and instrumentation, or just remixing the original parts. The public will listen and vote for their favorite remix, and select mixes will be made available on iTunes later this year.

Single of the Week

Electronic music fans don't always mesh well with hardcore rockers, but for our latest Single of the Week, we've found a happy medium for both parties. Cut Copy offers feet-stomping, neck-breaking tunes that employ a multitude of genres, and the Australian trio's new track "Lights & Music" is a testament to their jack-of-all-sounds fortitude.
