Apple reports $1.05 billion Q2 profit

Apple turned a $1.05 billion profit on sales of $7.51 billion during its fiofscal second quarter. Among the other details announced by Apple Wednesday were sales of 2.2 million Macs, 10.6 million iPods, and 1.7 million iPhones during the three months ended March 31. Apple executives briefed analysts on the results, and Macworld provided live coverage of that earnings report.
