CloudHSM requires a few infrastructure components to be configured before you get started, including a VPC, an SSH key pair, an IAM role to allow the AWS service to attach the HSM to your subnet. AWS also recommends configuring an EC2 instance from which you can manage the appliance. Use an AWS-provided CloudFormation template to configure everything you need for a typical CloudHSM deployment, or you can use your existing AWS infrastructure. Finally, use the CloudHSM API, SDK or CLI Tools to create CloudHSM instances and start integrating CloudHSM with Amazon Redshift, third party applications, or your own custom applications. You will find more details in the AWS CloudHSM User Guide.

CloudHSM pricing information is available on the CloudHSM pricing page. If you want to try the CloudHSM service for free, you can learn more on the CloudHSM Free Trials page.
