Hide devices & add device nicknames
You can choose which of your devices are shown on app menus on the Google Play website. By hiding a device, you won't be able to install apps to that device from your web browser. By adding a device nickname, you can make it easier to identify that device when installing apps.
Note: It's not possible to remove a device from your Google Play device history.
Hide devices on Google Play
If you no longer own or use a device, you can hide it so it's not shown when you download something from your computer or mobile browser:
- On a web browser, go to Google Play Settings.
- Under "Visibility," next to each device you want to see in Google Play, select Show in menus.
Add a device nickname
You can add device nicknames to make them easier to identify, which can help when you have multiple devices associated with your account.
To add a device nickname:
- On a web browser, go to Google Play Settings.
- Locate the device you'd like to add a nickname for and select Edit.
- Under "Nickname," name your device in the text field that appears.
- Select Update to save your device's nickname.
