AWS Diversity, Inclusion & Equity
AWS Diversity, Inclusion & Equity
AWS Values Diversity
AWS Prioritizes Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiatives
We’re taking a data-driven approach to cultivate a culture of inclusion, and to hire, retain, and advance more underrepresented talent. We require employees to take mandatory inclusion training, regularly review employment data to identify any pay imbalances or unusual attrition across demographics, and are working to increase the number of underrepresented employees and leaders working here.
AWS Supports Women Working in Technology
We actively recruit from women’s colleges and organizations, including sponsoring events and conferences. And we offer benefits like our industry leading parental leave, mentorship, and sponsorship programs, which help women develop their careers. As a result, we have incredible women leaders at the helm of some of our most important areas of the business.
AWS Powers Programs Working Toward a More Equitable World
We promote equity best practices like responsible machine learning, and our cloud services allow customers and partners to serve more customers more inclusively. We also work with organizations including the National Society of Black Engineers, StartOut, and Girls in Tech to provide training for underrepresented and underserved communities.
Machine Learning with Less Bias
Where we are. And where we’re headed.
AWS is committed to having a diverse workforce not just because it allows us to continue driving innovation for our customers, but because it’s also the right thing to do for our employees. We want our builders to know their voices and opinions are heard, to see themselves at every level in our organization, and above all else, to feel a sense of belonging here. Our current initiatives and goals will further our efforts to remove racial bias, increase representation, and foster a more inclusive and accessible workplace.
