Medical Mission at Home

Through our Medical Mission at Home events, Ascension delivers free medical care to those with limited access and who are struggling in the communities we serve.

Saint Thomas Medical Mission at Home 2024

You are invited to our upcoming Medical Mission at Home event on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the Nashville Fairgrounds. Participants will receive free medical, dental, and vision care on a first-come, first-served basis from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.


Started in 2007, Medical Mission at Home is a day dedicated to providing access to healthcare for those who may not otherwise receive it. Through our Medical Mission at Home events, we partner with community organizations to deliver free medical care to those who are uninsured or underinsured within the community. Services provided include medical care and screenings, dental care, vision care, foot and wound care, spiritual care, mental and behavioral health care, food and nutrition services, employment support, housing support and more.

Need help getting there? WeGo Public Transit is offering FREE bus rides for people attending the event. You can ride any bus for free that day to attend the event and to return home, just mention the Medical Mission at Home to the bus operator. You must use regular WeGo bus service. WeGo Route 52 Nolensville Road has a fairgrounds bus stop. Other WeGo routes connect to Route 52 at the Elizabeth Duff Transit Center at WeGo Central.

What We Do

Medical Mission at Home logoThe Medical Mission at Home provides real-time delivery of organized health and social services to those who would not have access to care with follow-up care and continuity as needed.

These free community health events give low-income and uninsured populations access to needed health services, including:

  • Medical care
  • Health screenings
  • Behavioral health
  • Dental care and oral hygiene
  • Follow-up appointments and referrals
  • Prescriptions at no cost
  • Vision services
  • Hearing screenings
  • Foot washing
  • Spiritual care
Our Medical Mission at Home events would not be possible without our community partners and volunteers – physicians, administrators, nurses, counselors, dentists, pastors, chaplains, podiatrists and many others.
