Did hacker turn off reCaptcha?

    I appreciate the warning displayed at the top that reCaptcha needs to be turned on. Unfortunately, we did not see that warning in time. What puzzles me is that recaptcha was installed but somehow turned off. I wonder if anyone else has experienced that, and if the hacker was somehow able to turn the reCaptcha off. (Of course, it could be that an admin did that so long back that nobody remembers.)

    I don’t think the plugin was hacked. I think the feature was turned off or never tuned on. I highly recommend to make sure reCaptcha is active at all times.
