How much does ghostwriting cost with Crystal Adair-Benning?
Ghostwriting starts from $60,000 USD. Payment plans are available. The engagement includes a full 60,000+ word manuscript, deep-dive strategy sessions, revisions, and a publishing roadmap. Co-writing, where Crystal shapes and rewrites your own drafting, is $30,000 USD by application.
What is Book Coaching with Crystal Adair-Benning?
Book Coaching runs in two tiers over 90 days. Core Engagement is $7,000 USD and includes 12 weekly 30-minute sessions. Full Engagement is $10,000 USD and includes 12 weekly 60-minute sessions. Both include Voxer support, developmental editing, manuscript strategy, and a publishing roadmap.
Is ghostwriting confidential?
Yes. Everything is under NDA. You own 100% of the content and copyright. Crystal stays entirely behind the curtain.
What is a Createcation?
A Createcation is a 4-day boutique writing retreat hosted by Crystal Adair-Benning, capped at six writers. Group retreats are $3,500, private 1:1 retreats are $5,000 in person and $4,000 virtual, and early bird pricing is $3,000. Retreat pricing is quoted in the local currency of each location, so the exact figure sits on createcation.com. Retreats run Thursday to Sunday, six writers maximum. 2026 locations are Victoria British Columbia (October 1-4), Christchurch New Zealand (November 19-22), and Melbourne Australia (December 10-13), with the Cayman Islands and Lisbon Portugal coming in 2027.
Does Crystal Adair-Benning work with international clients?
Yes. The majority of Crystal's clients are in the USA, UK, Australia and New Zealand. All work is priced in USD and designed for seamless remote collaboration.
How long does it actually take to write a book with you?
Ninety days from first conversation to finished manuscript for ghostwriting, and the same window for Book Coaching. That is not a marketing number — it is the timeline the process is built around. Most people are surprised it is that short; the reason it works is structure, not speed.
What if I don't like what you write?
You will see the book long before it is finished. Ghostwriting includes deep-dive interviews, chapter approvals as we go, and full revision rounds, so nothing lands on your desk as a surprise. If a chapter is not in your voice, we fix it. That is the job.
Do I need to be a good writer already?
No. Most clients are not writers, they are experts with something worth saying. For ghostwriting you never write a word. For Book Coaching and Createcations you do the writing, but with a framework and someone who has done this 200+ times sitting beside you.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes, on every offer. Book Coaching is $10,000 or three payments of $3,334 for Full Engagement, and $7,000 or three of $2,334 for Core. Ghostwriting and co-writing payment plans are agreed during the application process.
What happens on the strategy call?
Thirty minutes, free, and no pitch. We talk about your book idea, what you want it to open up for you, and which of the five paths actually fits. If none of them do, Crystal will tell you that and point you somewhere better.
Do you work with fiction?
Crystal's ghostwriting and coaching are built for non-fiction: business books, memoir, thought leadership. Novelists are welcome at a Createcation, and the Author Empire profiler has a track for fiction, but a novel is a different craft and deserves someone who specialises in it.
