Nia Sanchez Booko was so open with her postpartum journey on The Valley Season 3. Nia and husband, Danny Booko, welcomed their fourth child, daughter, Adelaide, before the season filmed, and were honest about how hard it had been raising four children under four, including taking care of a newborn baby.

Nia spoke with Bravo Insider in June, where she admitted that she didn't set out to document her postpartum journey on The Valley Season 3 alongside fellow new mom, Kristen Doute. "Cameras picked up as we were living our freshly postpartum lives, and so we were showing up as we were experiencing it," Nia explained. "But the audience feedback has been so encouraging and impactful for me. And I know for Kristen as well."

She continued, noting that "the support and the encouragement from other moms has been incredible."

"Even when I was experiencing my postpartum depression, I didn't expect it," she admitted. "I hadn't experienced it. The first time, I had a lot of women say, 'When I was watching this, I sat down with my husband to watch it, because I couldn't put into words what I was experiencing. But you put it into words.' And that really touched me."

Nia Sanchez shares how she's doing today, one year after giving birth

It's now been over a year since Nia gave birth to their youngest daughter, Adelaide, and she admitted to Bravo Insider that she is still getting used to her life as a mom of four. "It was wild for the first few months. Just everything settling and hormones — physically, emotionally, mentally. All of that adjusting to life with four small kids instead of the three," she explained. "We were in a sweet spot with, like, three toddlers that were sleeping through the night. And then we just kind of threw a little chaos bomb in there to just shake it up for a bit."

But things have improved so much for the Miss USA 2014 winner. "We hit the 1-year mark. I feel like I can breathe. My daughter can take a bottle, take formula. I can have a little more just breathing room," she said. "So we're doing really great, and we have the support we need at home with additional child care. So, things are a lot better."

Nia Sanchez Booko opens up about her marriage to Danny Booko today

Nia's postpartum journey wasn't the only thing she struggled with during The Valley Season 3. Throughout the season, viewers watched as Danny and Nia experienced "friction" in their marriage while trying their best to raise their four children together. She admitted to Bravo Insider that watching their fights back this season has been "wild," but they are in a much better place today.

"We've been to therapy since then. And then watching the TV show back is also like therapy. So we reanalyze that with our therapist and have all those conversations," she explained. "But we've really gotten back to basics because we've always been good at communication. I feel like we kind of let go of that for a little bit, just with all the exhaustion and craziness. And so we've pulled back into the healthier, stronger communication."

Nia Sanchez Booko reveals what's next for her after The Valley Season 3

As she settles into this new chapter in her life, she revealed to Bravo Insider some of her next goals. "I'm just excited to be in this window where we have incredible support at home. We have child care that's really there for us. I'm so grateful that I have a flexible enough lifestyle. I do work on social media, and so I can work from home. I can be really present with my kids. But then I have the freedom and flexibility to step outside of the house if I need to and show up in different workspaces," she said.

She continued, "Whether it's teaching a women's self-defense class, doing something with moms in my community, or working on a brand partnership to hopefully make a mommy and me clothing line. That would be really fun and cute. And I love being a mom, so I want to, you know, create work around what I'm passionate about."
