ADASTEC at the SAE Automated Transportation Symposium 2026 Cemre Kavvasoglu, North America Operations Director at ADASTEC, participated in the FTA transit breakout session, “Shoot for the STARs: Bringing Automated Driving to Transit Service,” during the Automated Transportation Symposium in San Diego. Organized by the Federal Transit Administration and the U.S. DOT Volpe Center, the session brought together industry stakeholders to discuss how automated driving technologies can be effectively introduced into public transit operations. During his contribution, Cemre shared insights from ADASTEC’s real-world SAE Level-4 automated bus deployments, highlighting the technical, operational, and organizational considerations involved in moving automated public transportation from deployment to everyday transit service. The session provided a valuable platform for sharing practical insights and advancing safe, reliable, and scalable automated public transportation.
