🎉 Congratulations to Mark Gibson, whose LinkedIn post was selected as the winner of the ”Best Technical Selfie” category for the #AwmaACE26 Social Media Challenge!
I had a great couple of days at the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) Annual Conference & Exhibition in Austin. I was particularly pleased to present in the “Advanced Monitoring and Modeling of Atmospheric Emissions” session, always a privilege to contribute to such a technically strong program. I was also a panelist during the Young Professionals mentor breakfast, where we had engaging discussions surrounding the pros and cons of careers in academia versus consulting. It was equally valuable to exchange perspectives with regulators and fellow consultants on the evolving challenges of air permitting for data centers. A personal highlight was reconnecting with one of my former students from 10 years ago, Nadine de Bruyn, M.A.Sc., P.Eng., EPt, now serving as A&WMA’s Young Professionals Chair - way to go! Of course, I couldn’t resist spending some time geeking out with the air monitoring instrumentation vendors. Finally, congrats to the organizing committee for putting on such a fantastic conference! #AwmaACE26 #KCI #RiseToTheChallenge #AirQuality #AirQualityMonitoring #AirQualityModeling #AirPermittingAndCompliance #EnvironmentalComplianceAndRemediation My presentation can be found 👉 https://lnkd.in/eeUJS9p8

What an incredible week in Austin at the A&WMA 119th Annual Conference & Exhibition (#AwmaACE26)! From insightful technical sessions on air quality and environmental sustainability to the fantastic networking events, the energy this week was unmatched. The absolute highlight, however, was connecting with so many brilliant, passionate environmental professionals. Whether catching up with old colleagues, meeting new partners, or engaging in deep industry discussions, the collaboration reminds me why the work we do is so vital. Thank you to the Air & Waste Management Association and everyone who made this event a massive success. Looking forward to keeping the momentum going and staying connected! #AWMA #ACE2026 #EnvironmentalEngineering #Sustainability #AirQuality #Networking #AustinTX #EnvironmentalProfessionals #technology #innovation
