Wow am I behind on LinkedIn... excuse my severe lack in posts recently. Let me catch you up on recent(ish) happenings. We started welcoming back school groups to Alliance Redwoods Conference Grounds for Outdoor Ed. We revamped our program and it is back and better than ever!!! To welcome schools back to ARCG we sent out camp in a box complete with all things camp and local to us, including of course Patrick's Taffy. Thanks so much for all of the schools who have come back after our hiatus!!!

We had such an amazing time with All Things Meetings last week. Thanks so much to Norma Kropelnicki and Paradise Ridge Winery for putting on such a wonderful event. We loved getting to connect with so many Sonoma County businesses. And the setting... come on, it does not get much more stunning!!! I just have to brag about our conference center for a minute. There is no where like it in the world (well that I know of 🤣). We can host private events, individuals, outdoor education, and corporate retreats at our 461 bed conference center nestled in the beautiful Coast Redwoods. But we also have 6 treehouses on the property (one of which is ADA friendly). The pictures show our treehouse village, the stunning views from up there and the incredible dinner and breakfast you get delivered to your private treehouse! At today’s American Society of Civil Engineers Redwood Empire Branch luncheon, Dave Coleman, PE, and Sophia Grubb, PE, shared the challenges, successes, and lessons learned from the Alliance Redwoods Water Conservation Project. Made possible through the support of the GOLD RIDGE RESOURCE CONSERVATION DISTRICT, this innovative project delivered a suite of water system improvements at the Alliance Redwoods Conference Grounds outside Camp Meeker. The project secured a reliable drinking water source for Alliance Redwoods while reducing water diversions in the Dutch Bill Creek watershed, increasing stream flows for protected fish species. Surface water and groundwater resources were reallocated for more efficient use across both potable and non-potable applications. The result is a win for all involved and a strong example of how civil engineering can manage limited water resources in ways that benefit both people and the environment.
