We are excited to announce that AMD and Anthropic are expanding our strategic partnership to build the next generation of AI infrastructure. Anthropic plans to deploy up to 2 gigawatts of AMD Instinct MI450 Series GPUs in AMD Helios, with deployment of the first gigawatt beginning in the first half of 2027. As part of this long-term partnership, AMD has committed to make a strategic equity investment of up to $5 billion in Anthropic. Powered by AMD Instinct MI455X GPUs, AMD EPYC “Venice” CPUs, Pensando networking and ROCm software, AMD Helios will provide the performance, efficiency and scale needed to advance frontier AI training and inference. Together, AMD and Anthropic are combining gigawatt-scale deployment, deep engineering collaboration and strategic investment that builds the long-term foundation to accelerate the development and deployment of next-generation AI infrastructure.
