The credit union difference is when banking benefits more than just your finances, strengthening the communities we call home. That’s why the American Eagle Cash Back to the Community program transforms a portion of our Debit and Credit Card interchange revenue into donations supporting local nonprofits across Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. Since 2020, this initiative has provided more than $650K to organizations making a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors. It’s one more way our members help create positive impact every time they choose to bank with us. Thank you to The Commercial Record for speaking with our very own Simeon Chapin to highlight this program and the incredible nonprofit partners helping build stronger, healthier communities. https://lnkd.in/e6gd8btn #CommunityImpact #FreedomtoSoar #CreditUnionDifference #Nonprofits #FinancialForGood

Supporting organizations that create meaningful, lasting impact is an essential part of who we are at American Eagle, and community partnerships are one of the many ways we can help strengthen the neighborhoods we serve. Our team recently rolled up their sleeves with Connecticut Foodshare in Wallingford, joining forces to fight food insecurity across Connecticut. The power of teamwork and compassion shines when we come together to support those who need it most. A huge thank you to Connecticut Foodshare for your dedication and for inviting us to join this mission! 💙 #FreedomtoSoar #CreditUnionDifference #CommunityImpact #WallingfordCT

At American Eagle, every swipe is an opportunity to support the people, organizations, and communities that matter most. Our Cash Back to the Community program transforms everyday Debit and Credit card use into meaningful support for organizations that are making a difference. Thanks to you, we're proud to donate $28,488 this quarter to three incredible nonprofits serving Connecticut and Western Massachusetts, bringing our total community contributions to $686,957 since 2020. Listen to our President & CEO, Howard Brady, share his thoughts on the credit union difference. We are proud to partner with the Filene Research Institute on this meaningful work.
Why would three credit union leaders put their names and their budgets behind a brand-new research center? This week we launched the Center for Differentiation & Storytelling, and Tansley Stearns, president and ceo of orsa credit union, Howard Brady, President and CEO of American Eagle Financial Credit Union, and Chip Griffith, CCUE, Chief Member Experience Officer of OneAZ Credit Union were among the leaders who made it happen. Hear their reasons in their own words which come down to one conviction: Credit unions have always changed lives. Now it's time the world hears about it. 👏 Thank you Tansley, Howard and Chip for lending your voices to bring this Center to life. Proud to share that our team had the privilege of volunteering with Habitat for Humanity! We spent the day installing Tyvek house wrap, moving a future home closer to completion. This initiative reflects our commitment to strengthening communities and investing in families' futures. Every hour volunteered represents stability, security, and the chance to create lasting memories. Together, we can build a stronger future! #CommunityService #HabitatForHumanity #BuildTogether #GivingBack #VolunteerWork

Financial independence isn’t just about retiring early; it’s about having options. Whether it’s changing careers, taking time to care for family, pursuing additional education, or simply feeling more confident about unexpected expenses, building financial flexibility can help you make decisions based on your goals instead of your circumstances. A recent Business Insider article explores how one family used a version of the FIRE strategy to create more freedom in their lives. While everyone’s financial journey is different, the core principles are familiar: save consistently, invest for the future, and plan with purpose. At American Eagle, we’re here to help our members and team members build a financial future that supports the life they want to live. What’s one financial goal you’re working toward this year? Share it in the comments, and if you’re looking for guidance on saving, budgeting, or planning for the future, our team is here to help 🦅 🔗https://lnkd.in/e5qew56w #FinancialFreedomMonth #FreedomToSoar

Congratulations to Hana Nguyen and Lillyan Perkoski, the 2026 recipients of the Teresa Knox Taking Flight Scholarship! 👏 👏 Named in honor of Teresa Knox, our retired EVP, Chief Operating Officer whose passion for #CommunityImpact and empowering young people through #FinancialEducation continues to inspire us, the scholarship supports graduating high school seniors on our team as they pursue higher education, trade school, or other career pathways. Throughout their time at American Eagle, both Hana and Lillyan have exemplified the values Teresa championed. Hana used her internship to promote #FinancialLiteracy among her peers, build meaningful relationships with members of the East Hartford community, volunteer at local events, and demonstrate compassion, resilience, and leadership. This fall, she will attend the University of Rhode Island, where she plans to pursue a career as a hospital pharmacist while minoring in finance. Lillyan joined American Eagle at just 16 years old and has grown into a confident leader, mentoring new team members, conducting audits, and embracing accountability and teamwork. This fall, she will attend Florida Gulf Coast University, where she will continue pursuing her goals while working toward long-term financial independence. Congratulations, Hana and Lillyan! We are incredibly proud of all you’ve accomplished and honored to support you as you take the next step in your journeys. 🦅💸 🔗https://lnkd.in/eUq8JV8P #FreedomtoSoar
