    This last weekend, we brought something new to Lake Tahoe: the Arc 19th Hole, a floating golf green anchored offshore with an Arc Sport as the tee box. While an iconic golf tournament played out onshore, we had our own game going on. Our station-keeping tech held the boat steady while our cameras onboard caught every shot, whiff, and hole-in-one as it happened. Any balls that missed the green, we picked back up. Every one that found a hole-in-one, we turned into $1,000 for the Tahoe Fund so the lake stays a little better off than we found it. By the end, we shared four days with Arc owners, fans, media, and a lot of people setting foot on one of our boats for the first time. Not a bad way to spend a weekend and show off our boats.

    We dropped motors into our first electric tug this morning. DC power cabinets will be lifted and lowered into place next. Electrifying the industry sounds glamorous, but involves a lot of unglamorous work. People in hard hats, cranes, logistics, etc. None of these are press-worthy moments, but they're all important steps towards this tug coming online in a few months. Exciting to watch this hull start to turn into a real boat!

    We test early, test often, and we do not stop testing. Tug on a Bench is what that looks like in practice for our commercial program. It is a full-scale hardware test lab for a completely electrified MW class tugboat powertrain, battery system, power electronics, cooling, and a 480V ship service bus. All of this is running in our facility before it ever goes into our vessels. Electrifying the marine industry is as much of a software problem as it is a hardware problem. The systems are complicated and software has to understand the hardware deeply to work. The fastest way to get there is giving engineers a complete system to work with as early as possible.     Docking the Arc Sport is not like docking other boats. Joystick-controlled thrusters at both the bow and stern let the boat move laterally, in any direction, including reverse. You can back into a tight slip without white-knuckling it. What separates this from other boats that have thrusters is the architecture underneath them. The Arc Sport runs on 800V. The thrusters draw from the same system powering the boat, not a separate auxiliary battery draining in the background. They stay on for as long as you need them.     The Electric Summer Tour made a stop at Lake Oconee. Austin Keen joined Jeff McKee for a full day on the water behind the Arc Sport, from custom wake sessions and foiling laps to surprise demos with a local family, all in a single day with plenty of battery left to keep going.     One of Tuuli C's thrusters weighs roughly 30,000 lbs. This is the hardware that lets a tug move sideways into a berth, spin in place, or hold position against a current without turning the boat. Most vessels can't do that. Installing two of them meant building custom tooling and machining the hull on-site because the sealing joints on these things don't leave room for error. The electric side is where it gets interesting. No lag, instant torque. The thruster points, the motor responds. That's the difference between Tuuli C and every other tug at the Port of Long Beach and Port of Los Angeles. Next up: the powertrain to power them.
