Auriga Space is excited to announce that we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of North Dakota to explore collaboration on national security applications of electromagnetic launch technology. The partnership will focus on three key mission areas: hypersonics, counter-UAS, and space. UND has built a strong ecosystem around unmanned systems, national security research, and space studies, making it an excellent partner as Auriga advances its high-cadence electromagnetic launch capabilities. We look forward to working with UND researchers and the broader North Dakota national security technology community to explore how electromagnetic launch can enable new capabilities for testing, defense, and space access. Thank you to Dr Scott Snyder, Dr Mark Askelson and the UND research team for hosting our delegation in Grand Forks and for the opportunity to build this partnership. It was a pleasure to host members of the SpaceWERX team — the innovation arm of the Space Force — at our headquarters last week. Our discussions reinforced the growing need for on-demand, high-cadence space launch, modernized hypersonic testing infrastructure, and resilient space-based operational capabilities. We look forward to continuing our work with the SpaceWERX team to deliver the capabilities the Space Force needs to execute its mission. Arthur Grijalva Vinny Pande Andrew Ermitano Mary Shippy Lan L.
We’re excited to welcome Anthony Brinkley to Auriga Space as our Senior Director of Business Development. Anthony brings more than 30 years of experience in defense and aerospace, with deep roots in hypersonics: spanning engineering, program leadership, and shaping and capturing large government programs. As part of this role, Anthony will also be expanding Auriga’s footprint in Huntsville, strengthening our presence in one of the country’s most important hubs for missile defense, hypersonics, and advanced systems development. Please join us in welcoming him to the team 🚀
We're excited to announce that Auriga has been awarded a Phase 1 STTR contract from the Missile Defense Agency to advance our electromagnetic accelerator technology for high speed testing. We are pleased to partner with two leading research institutions on this project: Texas A&M University and Purdue University, led by Drs Nathan Tichenor, PhD and Carson Lay, Ph.D., respectively. We provide a unique capability for testing in which we are enabling low-cost and high cadence testing in flight conditions by using electricity, instead of rocket motors, for acceleration. Missile Defense Agency joins a list of other defense organizations that are committed to work with Auriga to bring our technology to operational capability. In our latest issue, we spoke to Winnie Lai, Founder and CEO, Auriga Space🚀 Auriga Space is on a mission to build a reusable electricity-powered accelerator that provides a rocket’s initial boost, that will replace the first stage of a traditional rocket. “By replacing part of the rocket with a ground-based, electrically powered system, we can make launches far more efficient, reusable, and ultimately more accessible,” Lai explained. At Auriga, we’re redefining what’s possible in propulsion. We believe the future of launch doesn’t need to burn chemical propellants. It can be powered by pure electricity. Our electromagnetic launch technology is unlocking a new era for hypersonics, missile defense, and on-demand access to space. Watch as we accelerate projectiles to extreme speeds — without rockets, only with our reusable electrically-powered platform. This is how we make propulsion more affordable, responsive, and limitless. 🔊 Best with sound 🎧
