  • There’s a version of disability inclusion that looks convincing from the outside... A hire gets made. A number moves. And it’s easy to believe the work is done. However, hiring blind employees and supporting them are totally different. One gets someone through the door, and the other determines whether they can actually do their best work. In our latest blog post, we explore where that gap shows up and what it takes to help close it. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/dnEzvFhX

  • One engineer’s blueprint for rebuilding life after vision loss 💙 After losing his sight in 2005, Syed rebuilt everything from the ground up, from learning braille and earning a computer science degree to becoming an accessibility engineer at the American Foundation for the Blind. Today, technology is still central to his work and independence. Using Be My Eyes through Meta AI Glasses, he recently guided a volunteer to help him configure a laptop BIOS (something screen readers can’t access) combining AI for simple tasks and human support for real-time precision. What does it take to turn a personal challenge into a global solution? On April 29, Zain Group, the leading mobile telecommunications company in the Middle East, opened its doors to 20 fresh graduates with disabilities as interns across four of its operations through the GROW program. Our founder, Hans Jørgen Wiberg, joined the interns to lead a session on “Innovation in Accessibility: An Entrepreneurial Mindset.” Hans shared the story behind Be My Eyes, how a simple idea rooted in everyday challenges grew into a global community connecting millions of blind and low-vision users with volunteers and businesses worldwide. We’re proud to partner with Zain Group to support the next generation of accessibility innovators. ✨ #Accessibility #Innovation #WeAble #Entrepreneurship #Inclusion #BeMyEyes #Zain

    • A group of fourteen people participating in a virtual meeting, each visible in individual video call windows, some wearing headsets and others seated in different settings.
  • Accessible workplaces are often discussed in terms of physical spaces, but digital information is just as important. For blind and low-vision professionals, access to information determines how easily they can collaborate, contribute, and progress in their roles. That's one of the reasons why we created Be My Eyes Workplace. Be My Eyes Workplace combines AI-powered visual assistance, real-time human support, and document interpretation to help remove barriers across everyday workplace tools, documents, and workflows — making it easier for blind and low vision professionals to access information more equitably at work. • Accessibility shouldn’t begin when a customer asks for help. It should already be built into the experience. Service Stream is designed to make customer support more accessible, more efficient, and more human. When a blind or low vision customer contacts support, agents can instantly add visual context to the conversation through a secure link during a standard support call. No complex integrations. Just faster, clearer problem-solving in real time. Why it matters: ✅ Higher first call resolution ✅ Improved customer satisfaction ✅ Stronger accessibility compliance ✅ Better brand trust and loyalty Learn more about it here: https://lnkd.in/ePUNPd6c

    • A young woman with medium brown skin and short curly hair wearing a black over-ear headset with a microphone. She is smiling with her teeth visible and facing slightly toward the right. She has neatly groomed eyebrows and no visible glasses or jewelry. She is dressed in a black blazer over a black T-shirt that has an abstract design in beige, brown, black, and white shapes on the front. Her hands are near the bottom edge of the image, resting on a surface. The background is softly blurred and bright, suggesting a window behind her, but no specific details are distinct. Described with Be My AI.
  • Choosing the right workplace accessibility tools can directly impact productivity and inclusion. For blind and low-vision professionals, access barriers often appear in the systems that many businesses rely on every day. This includes PDFs, dashboards, websites, collaboration platforms, and enterprise software. The right solutions need to support employees reliably, fit into existing workflows, meet security standards, and scale. That’s why we created our ebook: Evaluating Workplace Accessibility Tools for the Enterprise. Inside, we explore what business leaders should consider when assessing accessibility solutions, including: • Security and compliance • Integration with workplace tools • Ease of use for employees • Scalability across the organization • Accessibility in digital transformation • How Be My Eyes Workplace supports blind and low vision employees Download the ebook here: https://lnkd.in/eQ_ar5vi

  • 140 million volunteering hours go unused every year in the UK alone. Often, this isn't because employees don't want to take part, but instead due to the opportunities not fitting in with their day-to-day. For global, distributed teams, the challenge is even greater - different time zones, remote workers, colleagues across multiple countries. Traditional volunteering models aren't built for this. So what does a corporate volunteering program look like when it actually works for everyone? In our latest blog, we share the key lessons learned from working with global organizations like Salesforce and Zain - from building in flexibility and finding the right partners, to measuring what actually matters. • Customer support works best when agents can fully understand the issue. For blind and low vision customers, many support journeys still rely on explaining visual problems without a shared view of what’s happening. That can mean longer calls, repeat contacts, and unnecessary frustration for everyone involved. Our Customer Accessibility Suite changes this. Find out how here: https://lnkd.in/e935qb8e

    • Three adults are seated side-by-side at a long wooden desk in an office, each wearing a headset with a microphone and working at a desktop computer.

Left: a light-skinned blonde woman wearing a dark green sweater, using a keyboard and mouse.

Middle: a dark-skinned man with short curly hair and a short beard, wearing a light blue button-up shirt, using a keyboard and mouse.

Right: a light-skinned red-haired woman wearing a dark top and maroon cardigan, typing at her computer.

The monitors are Dell. Papers and a cup holding colored pens are on the desk. Behind them are large floor-to-ceiling windows with trees and greenery outside, plus a potted plant and some office seating. No clearly readable text is visible.
