#Funding high-impact tutoring isn’t the challenge. Making it work long term is. If you’re trying to piece together funding from Title I, #IDEA, or extended learning sources, you already know that’s where things can get complicated. In this piece, we take a closer look at: • How to think about blending and braiding funding • Why DIY #tutoring models often create more complexity than expected • What it takes to build something that actually lasts One shift that stands out: funding is increasingly tied to outcomes. That raises the bar for how tutoring is designed, implemented, and measured. If you’re working through these decisions right now, this is worth a read. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gKhrEDRm Shoutout to @Natiional Student Support Accelerator #NSSA for the research and guidance that helped shape this thinking. #HighImpactTutoring #K12Education #EducationLeadership #AcademicRecovery #MTSS #DataDrivenInstruction

What makes learning stick in a digital environment? It’s not more screen time—it’s better design. In this new piece, we examine how strong instructional design shifts learning from passive to active. From questioning and discussion to intentional scaffolding, every element is built to help students engage, connect ideas, and retain what they’ve learned. This is the kind of thinking that helps us create meaningful, engaging learning experiences—no matter where students are learning. 👏 Shoutout to Lauren Primuth, PhD for bringing this perspective to life and helping us reflect on what really matters in digital learning. So what does outcomes-based contracting actually look like? 🤔 At a high level, outcomes-based contracting connects a portion of payment to measurable student growth. Typically, that includes: 1️⃣ A base investment to support implementation 2️⃣ An outcomes-based component tied to agreed-upon metrics It’s not all-or-nothing. And it’s not about shifting risk. It’s about creating shared accountability around results. This clip breaks down the structure 👇 or watch the full playlist on YouTube. https://lnkd.in/gP7T_5bz Inquire: What outcomes would be most meaningful to measure in your current tutoring efforts?

One of the biggest misconceptions is that outcomes-based models add complexity. In practice, the opposite is often true. When expectations are clearly defined: ✅ Metrics are agreed upon 🙌 Progress is visible ⚙️ Decision-making becomes more grounded 🏆 Districts gain more control—not less. This clip explores what that actually looks like 👇or watch the full playlist on YouTube. https://lnkd.in/gP7T_5bz Consider: Where would greater visibility into progress change how decisions are made in your district? #OutcomesBasedContracting #DistrictLeaders #Superintendents #EducationLeaders #DataDrivenDecisionMaking #AccountabilityInEducation

BookNook 📚 reposted this
Last week I had the chance to visit Our Lady of the Lake School in Euclid, Ohio. They’ve been a BookNook 📚 partner for the past few years and have really leaned in to support their students. What stood out most wasn’t just the program, it was the people. You had assistant principals jumping into classrooms, staff fully engaged, and a leadership team that truly cares about their students and their progress. Like a lot of schools, they were impacted by funding changes this year. But instead of pulling back, their principal is already thinking through how to keep things going. Looking into grants, planning for summer, and trying to find a way to continue supporting their kids. That’s what real leadership looks like. Not when everything is easy, but when you have to get creative and still show up for students. Grateful for the visit and everything they’re doing. #Education #Leadership #StudentSuccess #HighImpactTutoring #BookNook #Ohio
