Last night, we were named an Ad Age Small Agency of the Year (Midwest Silver) for 2026. It's an incredible honor. But more than anything, it feels like validation. Our industry is changing faster than ever. Every agency is being challenged to rethink how we create value, embrace new technology and help clients grow in new ways. Rather than hold onto yesterday's playbook, we've chosen to build for what's next. We're incredibly proud of this recognition, but we're even more proud of the clients who trust us to navigate what's ahead alongside them. Their ambition pushes us to think bigger, move faster and deliver work that creates real business impact. Thank you to Ad Age for this honor, and thank you to every client, partner and member of the broadhead team who made it possible. The best part? Even after 25 years in the biz, we're just getting started.

The feed has become one of the most influential places for brands to earn attention. It’s where people discover, research, validate and buy, often without ever leaving the platform. That shift has fundamentally changed how attention is earned and why social strategies need to evolve with it. Erin Storm, VP of Social, explores 10 shifts reshaping social, from algorithmic discovery and creator influence to AI and the growing value of human perspective. We’ve highlighted five of those shifts, and read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gmd7bFuz

Maija Hoehn and Garett Sloane of Ad Age had a great conversation about how we've approached AI over the past 2.5 years.
This week, Ad Age is all about small agencies ... I mean, always, but especially this week in LA. And I spoke with broadhead.'s Maija Hoehn to get the lowdown on how indie shops can make technological changes in their organizations. We came away with a blueprint, about how to increase clients served by 30% on a smaller staff. 👷 “Everyone can have AI now. It’s the agencies that know how to use it and operationalize it,” Maija told me. 🧈 They got the team on board by launching an AI platform internally, and treating it like a product. It's called Butter. 🗃️ Broadhead used AI to cut down on hourly billed tasks like status reports. 🛠️ Budget for AI like it is a staff-member, part of the labor costs. 💱 Then change the business model, once it's all implemented. 🟦 The full blueprint is below, and part of extensive small agency coverage 👇 https://lnkd.in/enJiTets

Occupational hazard of building a sports consultancy like Fame Sport at broadhead: you start obsessing over great sports marketing. Good thing there are awards for that. 🏆
I've been playing sports for as long as I can remember. It's shaped who I am, and taught me how to compete, collaborate and lead. It's still one of the things I'm most passionate about and I love watching my young daughters enjoy sports as much as I do. Working alongside my colleagues at Fame Sport has also given me a front row seat to the business of sports, deepening my appreciation for the power of sports to build brands. So it's pretty cool that I've been selected to be a juror for the 2026 ADWEEK Sports Marketing MVP Awards. Getting a chance to see the best work in sports marketing is going to be super fun. Hoping to be as wowed by the entries as I am by my new favorite Minnesota Lynx player Olivia Miles. 🔥

The best professional growth doesn't always happen at your desk. For our own Rob Molke, it's found on the trails. His perspective is a great reminder that the passions we pursue outside of work often make us better at what we do inside it. Check it out below. 👇
I like to run ultramarathons on trails. Yes — for fun, lol! I'm still trying to wrap my head around why I enjoy suffering for 100 miles so much (aside from those views, I mean c'mon!), but it sure has taught me a lot about myself & allowed me to apply the skills and experiences from the trails to my emails. Trail & ultrarunning has empowered me to unapologetically bring the best version of myself to all areas of my life, including as a PR pro at broadhead. If you're interested in reading, I've shared a little bit about what this silly, incredibly rewarding sport has taught me about being a better professional at work on our website: https://lnkd.in/gjTj5gSb Running trails & ultramarathons is my creative outlet, my art form. I combine the powers of my body & mind to express myself through competition and exploration, resulting in achievements and learnings that impact how I approach everything else that I do outside of running. So, what is your trail & ultrarunning? I know I'm a little crazy, I'm pretty self-aware. My hope in sharing these insights is not to influence you to run an ultra (but I'm happy to convince you if you are even slightly curious 😉). Rather, I hope you read this & feel inspired to find or dive deeper into your creative outlet. Because I truly believe that when we follow our passions — no matter how niche or unorthodox they may be — we learn how to be the most authentic versions of ourselves. And encouraging others to pursue their passions and discover their authentic selves makes me so happy.

Great conversation between Dean Broadhead and Dylan Conroy at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity about the changing dynamics of search.
Relying entirely on old web index approaches can leave enterprise brands facing severe visibility loss as generative search systems change consumer behavior. I sat down with Dean Broadhead, Founder and CEO of broadhead., to analyze the framework for converting corporate public relations into unfragmented Answer Engine Optimization networks. The AEO Playbook: How structuring digital assets for LLM indexing protects market placement as traditional web traffic falls. Surviving Zero-Click Search: The technical strategy required to secure direct machine citations inside automated layouts. The Emotional Procurement Stake: Re-engineering B2B creative assets to handle individual job security risks among buyers. Corporate Visibility Mandates: Why developing visible personal branding channels for executives drives modern customer pipelines. Dean Broadhead is an experienced brand strategist and the Founder and CEO of broadhead, commanding a 150-person independent full-service agency network that directs performance media integrations across major B2B and B2C channels. Some partnerships are about more than a campaign. When Mill City Farmers Market approached us about celebrating its 20th anniversary, we had the opportunity to help tell the story of a place that's become a cornerstone of the Minneapolis community. The anniversary identity draws inspiration from the people who make the Market what it is every week: the farmers, makers and neighbors who gather there. It was a chance to create something that honors the past while looking ahead to what's next. Come see it for yourself Saturday mornings, or learn more here: https://lnkd.in/gAMtmMCd

The next generation of marketers is already redefining what expertise looks like. Keith Grauman, VP, Group PR Director, shares why adaptability, curiosity and cross-functional thinking matter more than ever.
For years, marketing has encouraged specialization. Pick a lane. Build expertise. Stay focused. But the next generation of marketers is breaking that mold and bringing unique combinations of skills and experience to their roles. My time as a mentor with Take Flight: An Inclusive Communications Career Exploration and the current intern class at broadhead. bears this out and inspired me to write a few words about it. As AI blurs the lines between traditional disciplines, it increasingly feels like marketing’s future will belong to people who refuse to stay in a lane. What do you think? Are we moving toward a generation of generalists, specialists or something entirely different? https://lnkd.in/gTSs3UUV
