EARLIER DETECTION, PROVEN ACCURACY. A new Journal of Alzheimer's Disease publication highlights new modeling data demonstrating that use of the PrecivityAD2® blood test with a cognitive assessment in primary care could (potentially) reduce wait times for specialist referrals by 35%, from 23 to 15 months. Earlier detection could help clinicians accelerate evaluation pathways—reducing delays and giving patients and families the clarity they need sooner. Powered by mass spectrometry, C2N continues advancing Alzheimer’s blood testing. For more details, see the full article https://lnkd.in/eNwFbvYT

Fierce Medtech named C2N one of its Fierce 15 for 2020; "one of the most promising private companies in the industry.”
About us
C₂N Diagnostics’ vision is to bring Clarity Through Innovation™. It focuses its therapeutic discovery efforts around mechanism-based approaches to prevent or stop the progression of human neurological disorders. Diagnostic efforts revolve around bringing accurate, widely accessible, and cost-effective blood tests to the clinic for the betterment of patient care and brain health monitoring. Its lead commercial product, the PrecivityAD™ blood test, is a mass spectrometry-based test performed in C₂N’s CLIA-certified lab that measures in blood multiple analytes including Aβ42, Aβ40, and apolipoprotein E isoforms. While the test by itself cannot diagnose Alzheimer’s disease — which is a clinical diagnosis made by a health care provider — the test is an important new tool for physicians to aid in the evaluation process. PrecivityAD™, which can only be ordered through a health care provider, predicts brain amyloid plaques as determined by PET scan results and in 2019 it received a Breakthrough Device Designation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The PrecivityAD™ blood test also has achieved the CE Mark from the European Union. For more information visit www.C2N.com.

Researchers in the United Kingdom are using the PrecivityAD2® blood test to prepare for the future acceleration of diagnosis and clinical decision-making in either primary care or for patients waiting to see dementia specialists. The collaboration is occurring through C2N’s partnership with the Davos Alzheimer's Collaborative (DAC). DAC’s Healthcare System Preparedness program has started the Accurate Dx program. Imperial College London is the only United Kingdom center. The study is designed around testing the accuracy of PrecivityAD2® in primary care pathways for dementia diagnosis, placing this new technological approach directly within primary care research sites, rather than in hospital or specialist settings, for a quicker and more accurate diagnosis early in disease stages. https://lnkd.in/ehmH8n4r #Alzheimers #UnitedKingdom #NHSAlzheimers

ACCURACY MATTERS. · Analytical accuracy is becoming a critical differentiator in Alzheimer’s blood testing. In other words, does a test measure what it says it is measuring? As blood biomarker testing evolves toward disease detection at its earliest stages, the technology used to measure these biomarkers of brain pathology matters. C2N’s LC‑MS/MS‑based %p‑tau217 assay delivers the rugged analytical accuracy needed to detect subtle biological changes with confidence. · A new research study of 982 community-dwelling, cognitively unimpaired adults followed for 12 years showed that baseline %p‑tau217 levels measured with C2N’s LC‑MS/MS assay strongly predicted long‑term cognitive decline, neurodegeneration, and progression to MCI/dementia. The assay also stratified individuals by future risk, distinguishing those with lower versus higher likelihood of cognitive decline over time. · Published this week in Alzheimer’s & Dementia, the study also found that C2N’s LC‑MS/MS‑based %p‑tau217 assay outperformed p‑tau217 immunoassays in predicting long‑term cognitive outcomes. · Powered by mass spectrometry, C2N continues showing what is possible in Alzheimer’s blood testing through analytical accuracy and performance. See “Prognostic value of plasma %p-tau217 in cognitively unimpaired older adults” for more details. Congratulations to the co-authors and all the CIEN Foundation investigators for this impactful work! Exciting results on clinical decision-making using the PrecivityAD2™ blood test.
Can an Alzheimer's disease blood test change real-world clinical decision-making? New real-world data presented by Sebastian Palmqvist on behalf of the The Swedish BioFINDER study investigators at AAIC 2026 suggests that the answer is yes. In a Swedish study of 1,356 patients evaluated for cognitive impairment across primary care and memory clinics, use of the PrecivityAD2® blood test and Amyloid Probability Score 2 (APS2) changed clinical management in more than 60% of patients. The study also increased physicians' diagnostic confidence. Primary care physicians’ diagnostic accuracy for Alzheimer’s disease improved from 62% before testing to 88% after testing, performing similarly to dementia specialists. As many patients begin their diagnostic journey in primary care, where access to PET imaging, CSF testing, and dementia specialists may be limited, these findings add to the growing evidence that blood biomarkers can provide clinically meaningful information that influences real-world patient management. Congratulations to the investigators on this important contribution, and we look forward to the discussion at AAIC 2026. #AAIC2026 #Alzheimers #BloodBiomarkers #Neurology
