We've secured a $45 million settlement with Block, the company behind Cash App, for misleading consumers about the safety of its app and leaving them vulnerable to fraud. Block told Cash App users that their money was just as safe and secure in the app as it is in a bank — which was not true — and then left users high and dry when things went wrong. Our settlement ensures Block immediately cease making misrepresentations, provide customer support, and pay the restitution it owes consumers.
