CDTA announced a pricing adjustment to its DRIVE carsharing program beginning Monday, July 13, 2026. The hourly rental rate for DRIVE vehicles will increase from $5 to $6 per hour. The updated pricing includes 100 miles per reservation, then $0.55 per mile for additional mileage. 

This morning, we proudly unveiled our specially wrapped #America250 commemorative bus, celebrating the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States! The bus will travel throughout the #CapitalRegion all summer long, making appearances at community events and celebrations. We’re excited to bring this rolling tribute across the region, connecting people to the stories, places, and spirit that have helped shape both our region and our nation. Through our partnership with Capital District Transportation Authority, Center for Technology in Government (CTG UAlbany) is testing exactly that by using AI and mobile sensors to identify maintenance needs across hundreds of bus shelters in the Capital Region. By transforming data into real-time insights, this work helps prioritize repairs, optimize operations, and improve the rider experience, all while giving University at Albany students the opportunity to apply AI to real-world challenges. CDTA will once again be providing trolley service for the community and visitors for the 158th running of the Belmont Stakes. CDTA is providing mobility options so people don’t have to worry about parking or traffic congestion.
