Our STEP Clinic is all about making recovery from opiates possible by offering the support and the medication assistance to make leaving substance use behind easier. The STEP Clinic is available at our Mt. Vernon Center, including walk-in availability on Tuesdays from 1 PM to 4 PM and Thursdays from 8 AM to 11 AM; as well as our Security Square Center with walk-in availability on Wednesdays from 1 PM to 4 PM. We're so, so excited to welcome back a familiar face: Aery Maxwell, who will be the newest staff therapist at our Mt. Vernon Center! Aery says: "For a total of five years, I worked with Chase Brexton Health Care clients as both a Social Work Case Manager and Trans Care Navigator, and being given the opportunity to return and continue providing affirming and quality care to our LGBTQIA+ clients is an honor. Having been fortunate enough to have worked in a variety of social work positions in Maryland, I feel the experiences I have gained over a decade of being in the field will better allow me to serve and advocate for our community, and working for a unique FQHC such as Chase Brexton, which strives to provide holistic care to all individuals who come through our doors, is something I am very passionate about.
