#CNBInTheCommunity We're proud to partner with Cherokee Nation and the Oklahoma Tennis Foundation to bring a free youth tennis camp to our communities within the Cherokee Nation Reservation! 🎾 It was a great morning of learning, movement and connection at Northeastern State University as CNB CEO Chuck Garrett and former Cherokee Nation Tribal Council Member E.O. Smith coached kids in elementary through middle school on how tennis builds confidence, discipline and creates opportunities to connect with others.

This week, our summer interns attended an inspiring and engaging executive leadership seminar at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa. They enjoyed special presentations from CNB CEO Chuck Garrett and leadership from Cherokee Nation Entertainment, Cherokee Federal and other business units. This experience gave them the opportunity to connect directly with executive leadership, learn more about our organization's strategy and business operations, and gain valuable perspectives on career growth. Most importantly, they saw firsthand how every part of our organization is connected by #ThePowerOfPurpose. #CNBInterns #MyCNBInternship

Last week, CNB executives joined Cherokee Nation leaders and guests to celebrate the opening of the new W.W. Hastings Hospital in Tahlequah. The state-of-the-art facility doubles inpatient capacity, expands critical services with a NICU, Surgery Center and Hospice, and creates new opportunities to train and employ the next generation of healthcare professionals. This milestone reflects #ThePowerOfPurpose. Last week, our summer interns were treated to an evening of baseball and team building, as well as an opportunity to visit the Cherokee Film Studios in Owasso. ⚾ 🎬 On Wednesday, they enjoyed some Tulsa Drillers Baseball while connecting with their mentors and fellow interns from across our businesses. On Thursday, they visited Cherokee Film Studios and were given a tour to learn more about cultural representation, industry-leading technology and careers in the film industry. From meaningful projects to behind-the-scenes experiences and new connections, our internship program gives students the opportunity to learn, grow and discover where their passions can take them. Along the way, they experience the values and culture that make Cherokee Nation Businesses an employer of choice while gaining a firsthand look at the purpose-driven work happening across our businesses. #ThePowerOfPurpose #MyCNBInternship

This week, summer interns in Tulsa stepped out of the office, volunteering alongside the team at Iron Gate to help prepare the food pantry for families across the community. The experience reflected two of Cherokee Nation Businesses's core values: Purpose and Gadugi, the Cherokee principle of working together for the common good. It also gave our interns a firsthand look at the impact of service and collaboration. This week, our summer interns learned first-hand about the history and culture of the Cherokee Nation, and saw the direct impact our businesses have on the communities of citizens we serve within the Reservation and beyond. They began the week with a visit to the Cherokee National Research Center where they were treated to a tour of artifacts, art and important historical documents by Senior Manager Ross Mulcare. Then, finished the day attending a Tribal Council Meeting where they were introduced by our CEO, Chuck Garrett. To learn more about Cherokee history, they toured exhibits at the Cherokee Nation History Museum and Cherokee National Supreme Court Museum. Then, visited the Cherokee Immersion Charter School, as well as key healthcare facilities and community resources that our businesses support. Our interns left with a deeper understanding of our culture, values and commitment to supporting the vital programs that serve our citizens and their families. #ThePowerOfPurpose #MyCNBInternship Cherokee Federal Cherokee Nation Entertainment
