AI 🤝 Healthcare. Researchers from RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School found that an artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled early warning system helped identify hospitalized patients at risk of rapid clinical decline sooner, contributing to fewer deaths among high-risk patients. 📉 Hospitalized patients can deteriorate quickly, often before obvious warning signs become apparent. Researchers evaluated the Epic Deterioration Index (EDI), an AI-enabled tool that continuously analyzes information already captured in the electronic health record, including vital signs, laboratory results, nursing assessments, and age, to identify patients at increased risk of serious clinical decline. The system recalculates risk scores every 15 minutes and automatically alerts rapid response teams when patients reach the highest-risk category. 🔗 Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/dwMJmvVU

The impact of the World Cup Community Initiative continues far beyond the game. BINJE profiled the Saturday Heights Live event in Haddon Heights, one of the grant recipients. 🙌 Beyond the celebration, which brought together folks from all across the state and beyond, HIP donated $2 of every souvenir cup bought to two organizations tied to New Jersey’s agricultural community — the Vegetable Growers Association of New Jersey and the New Jersey Agricultural Society — after a spring freeze wiped out the region’s peach crop. 🗣️ “Choose New Jersey is proud to have helped bring local fan events to communities across the state throughout the World Cup, creating opportunities for New Jersey businesses to benefit from this once-in-a-generation event. From celebrations in Haddon Heights to Hoboken, these events were inclusive of the entire state and reflective of New Jersey’s diverse communities, while driving support for the small businesses that are the backbone of our state economy.” —Amy H., President & CEO of Choose New Jersey 🔗 Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/gmndNcdy

You needed to be in the room. ⚽️ Our Game On! Sports, Business & Leadership Summit brought together leaders from business, government, sports, education, and the nonprofit sector to explore how one of the world’s biggest sporting events can create lasting economic opportunity throughout New Jersey. We were honored to welcome New Jersey Lieutenant Governor Dr. Dale G. Caldwell, MBA, Ed.D. and Tai Cooper , NJEDA’s Chief Community Development Officer, alongside an outstanding lineup of panelists, moderators, and industry leaders who shared their expertise on leadership, entrepreneurship, athlete branding, workforce development, and the future of sports. Once again, to our sponsors, partners, speakers, moderators, vendors, volunteers, planning committee, and every attendee who joined the conversation, thank you. Your commitment helped transform this event into a meaningful exchange of ideas and a catalyst for future collaboration. We are also grateful to every organization and individual who helped make the Game On! initiative possible, and to everyone who continues to believe in the power of sport to unite communities and create opportunity. Together, we’ve laid the foundation for a lasting legacy that extends well beyond the final whistle. 🎥: Dave and Dan Studios Cc: Choose New Jersey, Inc.
