Last week, we were proud to attend the Greg Hawk Memorial Garage dedication with our partners at Habitat for Humanity East Central Ohio For years, Habitat has been a valued leader in creating homeownership opportunities for Canton residents. Since 2018, the City of Canton has invested roughly $6.8 million to assist Habitat with making homeownership attainable, having safe spaces for kids to play, and infrastructure throughout Canton. Councilman Hawk always believed we could take our investment a step further by adding garages to new builds. His vision led to the City's additional investment of $150,000 to make that happen. We know Councilman Hawk would be proud to see his vision come to light and make a difference for Canton residents.
