  • Your senior finance leaders shouldn’t be spending their time fixing broken handoffs, chasing data, or reconciling disconnected systems. That hidden integration tax pulls talent away from analysis, decision support, and strategic leadership. In his latest thought leadership article, Andrew Bell explains why CFOs should map where work is really happening before scaling AI.

Your intercompany reconciliation has a name problem. It's called "the entity nobody wants to own." Multiply that across every subsidiary running its own process, and month-end close stops being an accounting task. We partnered with Clearsulting to map how top Finance & Accounting teams remove this problem: assign ownership before any system gets touched, standardize the process once, then let it scale across every entity you run. The payoff is real. One Fortune 500 media company cut settlement time from 45 days to 2, and now auto-matches 99% of transactions with a fraction of the manual effort. No new headcount. No new software stack. Just a process someone finally owns. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eqF8rdhX #intercompany #BlackLine #Clearsulting #Finance #Accounting #AI

  • As finance leaders move from AI pilots to proving real value, there’s an important question to ask: Are we actually fixing the process or simply making some parts of it move faster?   In his latest article, Clearsulting's Andrew Bell looks at finance’s “hidden integration tax” — the time spent pulling data together, checking numbers, chasing inputs, and bridging gaps between systems and teams.   Read it here: https://lnkd.in/eKWGuMi7

I keep coming back to the same question when I hear people talk about AI in finance: are we fixing the work, or just making parts of it move faster?   In a lot of finance teams, managers and directors are still spending too much time pulling data together, checking numbers, chasing inputs, and sorting out handoffs between teams. They get the job done, but it comes at the expense of the work they were hired to do....helping the business understand what the numbers mean and what to do next.   That’s why at Clearsulting, we believe the push to get more value from AI has to start with a clear view of how the work actually gets done today.   I share more of my thoughts on finance’s hidden integration tax in my latest article: https://lnkd.in/d-MUcwVg What’s getting in the way of progress in your finance team: the data, the process, or the handoffs between people?

  • Cash visibility and treasury control are critical for resilient finance operations. In a past engagement with Xcel Energy, we supported the implementation of Kyriba, enabling real-time visibility into cash positions, improved risk management, and stronger liquidity forecasting. The Kyriba implementation delivered greater confidence in cash reporting, reduced manual touchpoints, and helped standardize treasury processes for more strategic decision-making. • Projected savings aren't real until they show up in results.   That's the issue many finance and procurement leaders face in real estate and multi-site operations. The contract might be right and the business case might be strong, but when property teams need to move quickly, spending can still happen outside the plan.   Across distributed operations, 40-60% of spending can happen outside approved contracts and 20-30% higher costs can follow.    Our latest white paper breaks down why savings don't always reach the bottom line and what leaders should look at next.   Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eUh4GSxv

  • Are you getting strategic value from your bank fee analysis — or just reviewing costs?   The most effective treasury teams are using bank fee data for much more than invoice validation. They're uncovering operational inefficiencies, evaluating banking relationship economics, optimizing liquidity decisions, and identifying opportunities to create measurable value.   In the final installment of our Bank Fee Analysis series, we explore how treasury and finance leaders can turn bank fee analysis into a repeatable process that drives better business decisions.   📥 Download our white paper today: https://lnkd.in/ewX9qS7M
