Each of our 60+ locations has a dedicated in-house team of interior designers who lead this process for each project. From initial discussions to deciding on each decorative element, here are the elements they consider: - Collaboration: Our designers take a collaborative approach with meticulous attention to detail. From the start, the design process is focused on partnership with the client, discussing their goals, lifestyle, and budget. From there, designers create a detailed 3D floor plan that brings the discussed vision to life (and allows clients to experience it before it’s built). - Precision: During the consultation phase, precise measurements are taken of the client’s space. A careful inventory is also taken of the items the client plans on storing there (e.g. wardrobe, shoe collection, book collection, garage tools, craft supplies, etc.). The result is a fully personalized storage solution that’s beautiful and completely in line with their lifestyle. - Personalization: From materials and colors to organization accessories, clients review samples with their designer in order to help build their vision and personalize every detail. A wide palette of colors and materials, as well as custom painting and staining options, are reviewed in-depth to ensure your unique style is achieved. Decorative elements like drawer faces, cabinet door styles, moldings, edges, appliqués, trims, and more are also explored so that the client can add layers to their space’s look. As a national franchise company, it’s paramount to us that we support and give to our local communities. Our franchises do this both individually, within their cities, and through larger Closet Factory initiatives we encourage all to participate in. This sector is called Closet Factory Cares and it supports a handful of key initiatives aimed at generating hope and dignity for kids in need. These initiatives include: - Bags for Kids: Through this initiative, franchises provide foster care children with a place to put their possessions, acknowledging the dignity and respect that comes with being able to do that. For every project started with Closet Factory, we provide foster children with bags of their own. Each bag is donated within the community it was raised in and is distributed by non-profit organizations in a respectful manner. Together, across the country, we aim to positively impact 40,000+ children’s lives each year. - National Foster Care Awareness Month: Every May our franchises highlight the needs of children in foster care by partnering with local organizations. We donate new, high-quality duffle bags that also function as backpacks, ensuring these children have a dignified way of carrying their belongings. - Time for Kids: Throughout the summer we volunteer at local organizations that support those in need. - Season of Gratitude: During the holiday season we donate new bags and essential items to non-profit organizations serving children in our local communities. Closet Factory Cares is thrilled to announce our new partnership with ThredUp. With this partnership, we can now offer a seamless way for clients to clean out their wardrobes in preparation for their dream closet install, all while making a positive impact. This new offering reduces clothing waste and gives our clients’ unwanted garments a second life via ThredUp’s resale process. Starting today, clients in select markets can request a Clean Out Kit from their designer. Clients will send ThredUp their gently used unwanted women’s and kids’ clothes and from there ThredUp handles the rest - sorting, listing, and selling the items or recycling them with their aftermarket partners. All Closet Factory’s proceeds of these sales will be directed to Dress For Success, a leading non-profit in preparing unemployed and underemployed women for the workplace. We are very excited to launch this partnership and offer our clients a streamlined way to get organized, save clothes in good condition from landfills, and provide resources to women entering the workforce.
