  • The National Contech Cluster extends its gratitude to the Bricks & Bytes team for highlighting our analysis and inviting us to share these insights with the international community. The issue raised by Oleg Demydenko Owner at Planit-inc. , Board Member at NPO "BUILDIT Ukraine" and Head of the National ConTech Cluster reflects a systemic challenge for the entire Ukrainian tech sector: 📌 The Positioning Paradox: Despite having over 300,000 world-class developers and technologies tested in real-world conditions, Ukraine is still often perceived merely as an outsourcing back-office. 📌 The Packaging Problem: Ukrainian teams focus heavily on development speed and rapid iteration, but often pay insufficient attention to marketing and brand building. 📌 The Value Distribution: If a company fails to tell its own story, the added value and product recognition ultimately go to foreign intermediaries. This is a classic Go-to-Market rule in the tech industry, which has become critical today for every founder planning to expand into Western markets. We thank our colleagues at Bricks & Bytes for their high-quality analysis of how this phenomenon impacts business positioning, and for their readiness to tackle complex topics together with us. 🔗 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/dzvqg5Mc 🌐 National ConTech Cluster Website: https://www.contech.org.ua

Some of Ukraine's best engineers quietly change their names on LinkedIn. They anglicize them to look more familiar to Western buyers, not because they lack skill, but because credibility in enterprise sales often has less to do with the work than with how recognizable you look to the person signing the check. On the podcast, founder Oleg Demydenko put his finger on the deeper problem: Ukrainian teams build extraordinary tech and iterate so fast they never stop to package and sell it. Ukraine has 300,000+ world-class developers and defense tech tested against a real adversary, yet it's still known mostly as an outsourcing back office. The wages stay home while the product, the brand, and the value sit with whoever told the story. That's the oldest go-to-market truth in tech, in its harshest form, and it applies to every founder reading this. Wrote up what it means for how you position your own company. "We have no time to sell it." That's how Oleg Demydenko, Chair of Ukraine's National Contech Cluster, described building construction tech under war. By the time a product ships, the next one is already needed. We sat down with him on what Ukraine is teaching the world about building under fire, plus the humanoid maker going public after deploying fewer than 100 robots. What stuck with us: ✅ Ukraine's rebuild is now pegged at $588B, nearly 3x its pre war GDP (World Bank, RDNA5) ✅ New buildings are designed for resilience first: modular, distributed, replaceable ✅ The real ask isn't sympathy, it's visibility: "they moved to America and they changed their name in LinkedIn" Full episode out now. • Bricks & Bytes has published an in-depth feature on the mission of the National ConTech Cluster: "What It Takes to Rebuild Ukraine With Technology". Oleg D. , Owner Planit-inc., Board Member NPO "BUILDIT Ukraine", and Head of the National ConTech Cluster, points out: "If we wait for peace to start planning, foreign corporations will parachute into Ukraine with their own pre-packaged templates. By building the ecosystem now, Ukrainian startups will enter the reconstruction market mature, proven, and strong." Establishing the National ConTech Cluster amid ongoing hostilities is a testament to our strategic resilience and our fight for economic sovereignty. We strive to ensure that Ukraine's reconstruction is driven by Ukrainian talent, keeping jobs and economic value within the country. 🔹 Sovereignty in Reconstruction. Ukraine is already a powerful digital hub. Now, we are scaling this expertise into the construction sector. Seven Ukrainian ConTech startups have already presented their solutions in BIM coordination, digital twins, and fabrication control on the international stage in Paris. 🔹 AI-Powered Damage Assessment. We cannot rebuild what we haven't quantified. Our teams are creating platforms that combine satellite imagery, laser scanning, and artificial intelligence, enabling communities to assess damage in real time and transparently prioritize reconstruction efforts. 🔹 Dual-Use Robotics. The autonomy and navigation technologies currently saving lives in combat zones will become the tools of peace tomorrow. Ukrainian engineers possess unique experience working in the harshest environments-and these robotic platforms will be indispensable on post-war construction sites. 🔹 Educational Foundation. Backed by years of dedicated work by NPO "BUILDIT Ukraine", which has trained over 11,000 students in construction technology for free, we have a robust talent pool. Today, this movement has evolved into a comprehensive national strategy. The window of opportunity to chart the right course for Ukraine's reconstruction is open right now. We are not waiting for victory to start working-we are bringing it closer by establishing a global hub for ConTech innovation. 🇺🇦 Join us in building the future. Together, we will rebuild Ukraine stronger, more technologically advanced, and independent! 🔗 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/g5PKAhdC 🌐 National ConTech Cluster Website: https://www.contech.org.ua
