For 175 years, Corning has been shaped by continuous innovation — and the people who make it possible. Our anniversary celebration at headquarters brought together employees, families, and community members. From Chairman & CEO Wendell Weeks accepting a glass key to the city of Corning, NY, to food trucks and a fireworks finale, it was a once-in-a-175-years event. We recently gathered for our annual 50/75 Luncheon to recognize employees and retirees whose Corning careers began 50 and 75 years ago. Fifty and seventy-five years at Corning represents more than time, it reflects decades of impact. This year’s honorees have seen some of Corning’s biggest milestones – from our 100th anniversary to our 175th anniversary. Their dedication continues to shape the legacy we carry forward today. Corning Chairman and CEO Wendell Weeks recently joined the 2026 intern class at the annual Chairman’s Event, where he shared insights on leadership, innovation, and the important role interns play in shaping the future. Representing 90 universities, our 188 interns are making meaningful contributions across Corning. The event highlighted the talent, curiosity, and potential of the next generation of Corning leaders.
