A Proud Milestone for Daiso Malaysia 🇯🇵🇲🇾
As part of the Finance team at Daiso Malaysia, I’m proud to share an exciting update on one of our biggest milestones the RM1 billion Global Distribution Centre (GDC) project at Pulau Indah, Port Klang.
Construction for the GDC began in Q2 of 2024 and as of October 2025, the project is progressing steadily toward completion. Once finished, this facility will be Daiso’s largest distribution hub in the world, serving as the backbone of our global supply chain network.
The GDC is designed to support operations across 22 countries, equipped with advanced automation systems like the Automated Storage & Retrieval System (ASRS), capable of managing over 35,000 SKUs and thousands of containers annually.
With completion targeted by July 2026 and operations expected to begin in January 2027, we’re entering an exciting phase that will redefine efficiency, scalability, and sustainability in our logistics operations.
It’s truly inspiring to witness Daiso’s long-term commitment to Malaysia investing in innovation, creating opportunities and strengthening our position as a key logistics hub in the region.
