This week we celebrated a really special partnership with our new friends from Muir Elementary within the Madison Public Schools Foundation. Since launching our Adopt-a-School program with this community our employees have contributed 277 volunteer hours at the school-- a special shout out to Cherie Boss, Stacey N., Shannon Conlin for being rock ⭐ volunteers!! Over the 2025-2026 school year we: 🏫 packed snacks 🍴catered staff meals 🛝covered recess shifts 👩🌾weeded gardens 📚reshelved books 🎒washed lost-and-found items 📣cheered on student athletes Our Dean Health Plan, Inc. employees have cultivated a trusted relationship with students, teachers, and staff that have filled our 💓 This week we thanked our volunteers with a breakfast at the school and also made an announcement of an additional $120,000 in funding to help with even more support of Muir Elementary for next year. We are looking to help improve student safety and learning spaces, expand their food pantry and sustain their student support initiatives. Friday feelings are 💚💙 after our Q2 Town Hall event in Madison this week! From our employee clubs and ERGs (employee resource groups) who do a wonderful job promoting employee engagement, culture and fun activities during these on-site events to a visit from Dean Health Plan, Inc.'s therapy 🐕🦺, to our Madison hub's first ever 🐻❄️ plunge for the Special Olympics Wisconsin-- we had a blast being together and raising funds for a great cause later this summer to honor all Special Olympic athletes.

🤩🤩Starting off a new week still smiling from our fabulous Friday spent with the community at Muir Elementary school 🤩🤩 A few days ago Dean Health Plan, Inc. volunteers spent time at Muir in Madison as part of our brand new "Adopt-a-School" partnership in conjunction with the Madison Public Schools Foundation. We served breakfast to staff before their professional development day, helped organize the library 📚 and other projects throughout the school, and did some gardening 🌿clean-up outside on their property. We have committed a $50,000 investment towards a long-term collaboration dedicated to supporting students, educators and the greater Muir community. The Foundation’s Adopt-a-School program connects local businesses and organizations with individual schools to support their unique goals, whether through volunteering in classrooms, mentoring students, donating supplies, or supporting enrichment opportunities. We are proud to support the launch of a new statewide public education and awareness campaign designed to help residents, employers and policymakers better understand the value of community health plans. Our campaign, "Your Health. Your Community. Your Plan." kicked off this week during Wisconsin's Community Health Plan week-- led by the Wisconsin Association of Health Plans the efforts highlight the strength, stability, and local impact of Wisconsin's unique health insurance market. “At Dean Health Plan, we believe health care should be personal and connected to the communities we serve,” said Josh Gustafson, Wisconsin Market President for Medica. “As a community health plan, we live and work here in Wisconsin. Earlier this week an awesome 😎crew from our Madison hub volunteered at Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin for a day-- sorting 🍎🍌 and helping to pack meals for those in need across the communities we serve. Giving back and volunteering is one of our favorite activities at Dean Health Plan, Inc.!

Dean Health Plan, Inc. volunteers spent time at John Muir Elementary school this week, supporting teachers as they prepared for Parent‑Teacher Conferences. From refilling “snackleboxes” 🍱 to providing dinner between sessions, the gratitude was immediate and the connection was real. This new partnership is just getting started, and we’re excited to continue showing up for the students, families, and staff who make Muir such an important part of the community.

Way to go!! 🥳
