Of all the awards we can win, the Top Workplace Awards are the ones that mean the most. It means our team enjoys what they do and where they do it. We came in 2nd Place out of 30 for the Small Business category and were also awarded the Communication Award for our commitment to open communication. DIA is grateful to all our staff for their hard work and dedication to their craft.

Some projects touch your heart differently. This was one of those projects for our team. Lumen Flats is an apartment community designed to assist teens who have aged out of the foster care system. It provides access to housing as well as the support needed to transition into adulthood. Our staff was honored to provide design services for this project and enjoyed receiving this video of Thanks from the client, Elmington Properties.

Greenheck Group's new Health and Wellness Clinic in Shelby, NC has been a fun project for a wonderful client and we look forward to our next project for them. Working with Choate Construction Company has been such a seamless process that we barely noticed we weren't working in our own backyard. Great job everyone!

DIA enjoys finding ways to inspire the next generation of architects and designers. STAFF SPOTLIGHT | VALERIE GOZZO With 7 years of professional experience, primarily in Houston, TX where she was raised, Valerie began her career right out of college and advanced to the position of Studio Manager. She led a Tenant Interiors team of 3-4 members, working on diverse projects including industrial, retail, and corporate office spaces. Seeking a change of scenery and to be closer to family in the southeast, Valerie and her partner Logan relocated to Knoxville in 2024. After working remotely for about 9 months, she realized she preferred in-person collaboration. Valerie sought a company that offered a stronger focus on interior design and larger-scale projects, providing new challenges and learning opportunities. In her free time, Valerie and Logan enjoy hiking and kayaking adventures. She also loves baking, being creative with her hands, and reading. Additionally, she is very fond of her cat, Nigel, and her dog, Nala.
