Focusing on the acquisition community and industrial base, this business line will execute a multi-year journey to strengthen: Warfighter Readiness: Fast, secure payment processing that enhances supply chain relationships and keeps our warfighters mission-ready. Unified Service: Streamlined operations built with a single entry point and integrated workstreams. Data-Driven Clarity: Centralized operations and analytics supplying greater visibility for informed financial management and planning. At the SDFM DFMI conference in Orlando, DFAS Director Mr. Witter and Total Force Pay Director Mrs. Cathy Van Hoesen introduced Total Force Pay — the initiative that will bring DFAS pay services into a single, integrated experience for the total force. "A service member, civilian, retiree, or annuitant should experience DFAS as one organization — not the seven separate chains of command we operated in historically," said Mr. Witter. "Total Force Pay is how we change that. We're early in the work, but we're clear about where it leads." Total Force Pay moves DFAS from seven chains of command and five distinct pay experiences toward one modern, customer-centered service across the full lifecycle of service. DFAS participated in this year’s Defense Financial Management Institute conference, engaging with leaders and professionals across the defense financial management community. DFAS Director, Mr. Jonathan Witter contributed to the OUSW(C) Comptroller Leadership panel discussion where he explained how DFAS is implementing the Department of War priorities by implementing business lines to streamline service, delivering modern technology solutions, adopting AI to build trust and speed in service delivery, and partnering across the Department to achieve audit success.  #dfas #financialmanagement #leadership
