Deploying a model and delivering its #value to the people who need it are not the same thing, and for most #enterprises, a wide gap separates the two. "Getting a model into production used to be the milestone that mattered," said Thomas Robinson, COO at Domino Data Lab. "Our #research shows that's not enough anymore. The real milestone is the moment a #business user can act on what the model found, and for too many enterprises, that moment still isn't happening at the pace or scale of business, and with the #governance regulated industry requires." #ROI tells a sharp regional story. North American organizations are markedly less likely to report ROI stuck at the same level as #investment or lower: 51.1% in #NorthAmerica, 66.9% in the #UK, and 67.0% in #Europe. Domino Data Lab Report Finds 57% of Enterprises Still Struggle to Achieve AI ROI Despite Production Growth 📎 Domino Data Lab has released its Fifth Annual Enterprise AI Report, revealing that 57% of enterprises continue to see AI investment outpace returns, a figure unchanged since 2025. Despite ongoing challenges in generating measurable business value, AI adoption maturity is increasing, with 93% of enterprise AI leaders reporting improved production capabilities in 2026 compared with 88% last year. 📎 The report highlights a growing "last-mile gap" between deploying AI models and enabling business users to act on their insights. While expanding agentic AI capabilities remains a top priority for enterprises, governance remains a major challenge, with 41% of organizations piloting or scaling agentic AI without adequate governance frameworks. Companies with fully integrated AI governance were significantly more likely to achieve governed AI deployment and improved delivery velocity. 💬 "Getting a model into production used to be the milestone that mattered. Our research shows that's not enough anymore. The real milestone is the moment a business user can act on what the model found." – Thomas Robinson, COO, Domino Data Lab 💬 "A significant share of enterprises still can't get AI-generated insights to the people who need them, and the ones with governance built in from the start are far more likely to get agentic AI to that point safely." – Shawn Rogers, CEO, BARC US #DominoDataLab #ArtificialIntelligence #GenerativeAI
