Innovation is not just about the product, the packaging, or the ingredients. The suppliers capabilities count, too!

Innovation does not always mean better taste, new ingredients, or more attractive packaging. Sometimes the most important innovation is how a brand operates. For years, grocery retailers evaluated new suppliers using a familiar set of criteria: • Does the product taste good? • Will the packaging stand out? • Does it deliver the right margin? Those factors still matter. But they are no longer enough. Today, retailers also need to understand whether a supplier can: • Support the digital shelf with complete, accurate product content • Participate effectively in retail media • Forecast demand and maintain reliable inventory • Use POS and loyalty data to improve performance • Operate as one team across stores, e-commerce, delivery, and pickup The definition of retail-ready is changing. The next winning supplier may not simply have the best product on the shelf. It may be the brand that is easiest to onboard, easiest to activate, most reliable to replenish, and best equipped to grow across every retail channel. Retail innovation is not only about what is inside the package. It is also about the capabilities behind it. Is your supplier screening process evaluating both? RangeMe can help as your digital front door. #RetailInnovation #GroceryRetail #SupplierDiscovery #RetailMedia #DigitalCommerce #SupplyChain

The RangeMe Top Brands in Food & Beverage listing is now live in Mass Market Retailers' online Research section! It highlights the 50 brands garnering the most interest on RangeMe from buyers actively seeking new products and is a leading indicator of the types of products we can expect to see on store shelves in the coming months and years. Categories include: Candy; Canned, Boxed & Dry Foods; International Food; Non-Alcoholic Beverages; Alcoholic Beverages; Baking; Spices; Breakfast Foods; Condiments, Sauces & Spreads; Snacks; Soup; Frozen; Meals & Sides; Fruits, Nuts & Vegetables and more! You can view the list online in the MMR Research section here: https://lnkd.in/gWY3X2Pz Many of these brands you'll also find at ECRM's Food & Beverage Sessions: https://lnkd.in/ekxETyRK Each month, in its Research section online and in select print issues, retailmediaIQ's MMR features the RangeMe Top brands in one of the following categories which rotate each month: Health & Beauty Care, Food & Beverage and General Merchandise. Brand selection is determined by the number of approved submissions from RangeMe’s Immediate Opportunity campaigns. These are campaigns hosted by retailers via RangeMe to meet a specific need – typically category-focused or around a theme such as sustainability, private label or supplier diversity. RangeMe hosted 518 campaigns in 2025, drawing over 55,000 submissions and 10,500 approvals from retailers (meaning they were invited to the next step in the decision-making process, such as sample requests or a meeting). All RangeMe Starter, Premium and Pro subscribers can submit products to Immediate Opportunities. Also factored into the selections are positive buyer actions on RangeMe Brand Profile pages – such as sample requests, messaging activity, meeting requests, and product saves. View RangeMe's Current Immediate Opportunities here (there are 19 active campaigns today!): https://lnkd.in/erGqdF9m Special thanks to Mike K. and April Park on RangeMe's Product Team for putting this together, and Scot Meyer, Thorvardur Palsson de Shong and the MMR and retailmediaIQ team for helping us to share this data! #cpg #retail #smallbusiness #ecrmrangeme Greg F. Protein is everywhere, from fitness-focused breakfast cereals to, surprisingly, protein-infused vodka. But while consumer demand for this macro-ingredient is surging, a massive disconnect exists between what people think they are eating and what they actually need. In this episode, ECRM’s Joseph Tarnowski sits down with NielsenIQ VP of Thought Leadership - Food & Beverage Chris Costagli to dive into his recently-released report, The Protein Paradox. They explore why 60% of consumers are making an intentional effort to increase their protein intake, yet remain largely confused about their daily requirements and how to track them. Key topics include: ➡️ The Power of the Label: How simply placing the word "protein" on packaging—even in categories where it doesn't traditionally belong– is driving purchase behavior, and why consumers are beginning to grow skeptical. ➡️ Generational and Income Shifts: How protein priorities differ across demographics, from aesthetic-driven younger generations to those focusing on maintenance as they age. ➡️ The "Ultra-Processed" Trap: The challenge of balancing high-protein goals with the reality of ingredients. ➡️ The Rise of Verification Apps: With 62% of app users trusting digital scanning tools as much as or more than product labels, find out what this means for brand trust and transparency. ➡️ Future-Proofing for Gen Alpha: A sneak peek into how today’s parenting choices around protein are setting the stage for the next generation of consumers. Whether you are a manufacturer, retailer, or just a curious shopper trying to navigate the grocery aisle, this conversation offers critical insights into the real, and sometimes paradoxical, world of protein consumption. Retail moves faster today than ever before! 🚀 Between viral social media trends and rapid consumer shifts, keeping up with new product innovation can feel like drinking from a firehose for merchant teams. Are you tired of sifting through chaotic pitch emails, LinkedIn DMs, and stacks of business cards just to find on-trend suppliers? 📥🤯 In our latest blog post, RangeMe SVP of Retail Wayne Bennett breaks down the "innovation gap" and shares how RangeMe acts as an extension of your merchant team to help you move at the speed of trends. Here is how we are helping retail buyers streamline product discovery: ✅ Centralized Submissions: Custom inbound landing pages that capture the exact criteria you need to evaluate shelf-readiness. ✅ Preserved Institutional Knowledge: A permanent digital trail so you never lose supplier history or data when buyer desk changes happen. ✅ AI-Powered Immediate Opportunities: The ability to launch hyper-targeted sourcing campaigns (like "women-owned dog leash brands") and review AI-generated summaries of vendor capabilities to save time. Stop letting limited bandwidth slow down your product evaluation. Back home, inspired, and excited for what's ahead. We recently returned from the ECRM Snack Session in San Diego, and we're taking home much more than luggage—we're bringing back new relationships, valuable conversations, and fresh inspiration for the future of Poppleton Pantry. Over the course of the event, we had the opportunity to meet with retail buyers from across the country, share our products, and introduce the story behind our brand. Every meeting reinforced why we do what we do: creating snack mixes inspired by Grandma's Kitchen that bring people together. As a growing company, every conversation matters. Whether it leads to a new partnership, valuable feedback, or simply a new connection, each interaction helps us continue building a stronger brand. We're grateful to everyone who took the time to meet with us, sample our products, and learn more about Poppleton Pantry. Thank you to the ECRM team for hosting another outstanding event and creating an environment where meaningful connections can happen. Now that we're back home, it's time to follow up, keep the conversations going, and continue building on the momentum from an incredible week. We're excited for what's next. #PoppletonPantry #ECRM #Retail #SpecialtyFood #CPG #FoodIndustry #BusinessGrowth #Partnerships #SnackBrand

First CPG pitch in the books and still vibing from it. Sara Stender Delaney, founder of Sarilla, asked me to pitch Thrive Market on her behalf. I’m a big fan of Sarilla’s all natural sparkling teas, know her story well and have been working with her for the last year - that was an easy YES! All she needed to tell me that she believed that I can do it and knew that my energy would take care of the rest. I felt like a rookie again. I studied, researched, took notes, memorized FAQ’s & 9 page deck and even recorded myself talking through the deck. That ship was on repeat and listened to it on my 2 hour drive down to San Diego. Shoutout to both Tyler B. and Joseph Tarnowski at ECRM for welcoming me and being awesome human beings - appreciate you dudes!🤙🏽 This is what I’m taking from it and what landed. I showed up prepared, curious and wanted to learn as much as I can about the process. It’s not all about the perfect pitch, it’s how I connect and vibe with other humans.🫶🏽 Let’s Groooowwww!🚀 CARE FOR ALL!❤️🩹 Vibes y’all!❤️ #TogetherWeGrow #NothingWithoutTrucking

What a phenomenal few days at ECRM’s (Functional) Beverage Summer Session in San Diego! A heartfelt thank you to every retailer, distributor, marketplace partner, supplier, and category leader who took the time to meet with us and learn about MYND Sparkling Protein Water. The conversations were thoughtful, insightful, and energizing. It’s exciting to see so much enthusiasm around innovation in the functional beverage space. Special shout out to Nana Bonsu at Walmart for his outstanding work on fixing tech issues and Lawrence Shipman & Jeremy Baumeister at Walgreens for your expertise in making this all a reality! A very special thank you to the incredible ECRM team for once again delivering a world-class event. Sarah Pavlik, Jaime Turzanski & Wayne Bennett your organization, professionalism, and hospitality made this one of the best meetings yet. Bravo! One of my favorite parts of the week was reconnecting with so many colleagues and friends from throughout my career. It truly felt like “old home week.” Seeing former L’Oréal teammates, including Michelle Schmidt brought back wonderful memories of building brands like La Roche-Posay Laboratoire Dermatologique together and reminded me how small—and special—our industry really is. As President of The Vincent Group, LLC grateful to represent innovative brands like MYND Drinks and help connect them with outstanding retail partners. The future for functional beverages has never looked brighter, and we’re excited for what’s ahead. Thank you to everyone who made this week so memorable.
