Anshu Mehrotra nails the point that matters most: the AI build-out isn’t abstract — it’s happening on manufacturing floors, in power equipment, and in the materials that make that infrastructure possible. EIS is already in that work — supporting the OEMs building servers and power distribution equipment with the process materials, fabrication, and supply reliability this ramp demands. Proud to see our leadership calling it clearly. Worth a read.
The scale of the AI data center build-out in the United States is remarkable. Pew Research Center recently reported that the country has over 3,000 operational data centers, with over 1,500 additional facilities now in various stages of development. The South and Midwest are leading much of that construction, with Virginia, Texas, and Georgia at the top of the list. EIS operates from the ground floor of this build-out, supplying the manufacturers who build the servers and power distribution equipment for these facilities. This is where the physical infrastructure of AI is being assembled, and it takes a specific set of materials to support that work. Our role is to bring the full basket of materials to their manufacturing floor. For manufacturers in the power transmission & distribution space, we supply process materials like insulation, bearings, sealants, specialized tapes and resins. And, in a cleanroom environment where servers are assembled, that includes wire management materials, marking labels, chemicals, adhesives, solder, cleanroom garments, and static-control straps. The AI data center opportunity is significant, and the manufacturers building the equipment for it are the customers we are ready to serve today. https://pewrsr.ch/3SWAK1O #eis #datacenters #manufacturing #aiinfrastructure

One idea from a recent Harvard Business Review article has stayed with me. The authors make the point that no single person can hold the full picture anymore. I don’t see this as a weakness of leadership, but rather the reality of modern business and its impact on leadership. Manufacturers today are navigating rapidly evolving technologies, changing supply chains, new regulations, shifting customer expectations, and AI that is transforming how work gets done. At the same time, expertise has become increasingly specialized. It is very hard for a leader to be the deepest expert across every discipline that shapes a business and be a strong, strategic and visionary leader at the same time. In my opinion, this changes what is required from leadership in the current complex business environment. Leaders who create the most value are the ones who ask better questions, draw on the right expertise, and have the judgment to make sound decisions when the path forward isn’t perfectly clear – which it frequently is not. That’s why this article’s discussion of followership as a critical element of effective leadership, resonated with me. Skills like listening, challenging assumptions constructively, remaining coachable, and putting the collective success of the organization ahead of personal recognition are practical capabilities for successfully leading in an increasingly complex world. This shift will define the next generation of leadership. https://bit.ly/4p9yGzr #leadership #followership #leadershipdevelopment #eis
