MAHLE has begun series production of aluminum cooling plates designed to keep EV battery cells below 40° C and maintain uniform temperatures across the pack. The plates support fast charging, battery performance, and service life. Although production is based in Spain, the same thermal-management demands apply across the global EV market. Researchers at Hanyang University ERICA have identified a precursor-handling issue, which can affect the stability of manganese-stabilized, nickel-rich cathodes used in electric vehicle (EV) batteries.
