Even in the toughest moments of my career, my work bestie was one of the biggest reasons I came to work every single day. We had our daily lunch sessions to discuss the latest work happenings. We sat almost every day in a conference room together to get work done. I needed to hear her say “You got this” and “How can I help?”  She was one of the reasons I stayed in my corporate job as long as I did. And I’m not alone in my experience with my work bestie. I was reading ezCater’s 2026 Future of Workplace Experience report and this really hit home for me (check out the report in comments): 69% of workers say socializing during the workday makes them more productive, and this social time is more likely to get them to stay at the company longer. And 79% agree that having friends at work helps drive better results for the company. It’s clear that workplace friendship matters for employees and employers, but they’re becoming harder to cultivate in a hybrid world. That’s where food can help. Providing food for employees is an easy way to help foster connections at work. When companies use ezCater, it’s a one-stop shop to help employees socialize. Find catering for any meeting size, dietary need, or budget. Or tap into their Meal Program for recurring employee meals. Food is delivered on time, as ordered, so employees can enjoy lunch while venting and laughing, together. What memories do you have of a work bestie? Did you share a meal every day together? Are you still in touch? #leadership #MitaMallick #ezCaterPartner #PaidPartnership

  • Remember happy hour? That post-work “bonding” time with drinks and small talk? Yeah… employees aren't into it anymore. Our recent survey found that: 68% of employees prefer socializing during the workday, not after hours 78% say sharing food at work is better for team bonding than booze 87% want free lunch at the office (yes, really) Lunch is where the magic happens. It’s the time when teams swap stories, share ideas, and spark new collaborations, all while enjoying a meal together. Free or catered lunches boost morale, strengthen culture, and make employees excited to show up. Let teams choose what they want, mix things up, and watch the “lunch-citement” grow. 🥳

  • Rumor has it that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and while we don’t pick favorites, breakfast meetings are definitely having a moment. Between better attendance and sharper focus, there's a lot to love about a morning session, if you get the menu right. • JUST IN: Gen Z is reshaping the workplace. 💁🏼♀️ From prioritizing connection to setting clearer boundaries, younger workers are actively challenging traditional workplace norms and redefining what “work” looks like. • Mandating a return to the office doesn't automatically bring people back to each other. workwire recently highlighted data from our latest Future of Workplace Experience Report: employees required to return without new perks or incentives are 27% more likely to be job hunting, even though nearly 3 in 5 want hybrid work in the first place. As our VP of People, Robert Kaskel, put it: you can't mandate belonging, but you can design for it. Check out the full report here: https://bit.ly/4wurVL2
