Halo has the same airframe, hybrid powertrain and core systems as Anduril Industries' military variant, Thunder. The dual-use nature of the platform drives the economies of scale, expanded demand, and broad supply chains critical to drive down costs and de-risk the pathway to large-scale production that serves both markets. VTOL: Tiltrotor configuration combines vertical takeoff and landing with efficient wingborne cruise. Series Hybrid-Electric Powertrain: Hybrid electric architecture extends range and provides a much simpler way to get the benefits of a tilt rotor, without the complex mechanical systems Autonomous: No pilot means lower cost, higher utilization and no human exposure on hazardous missions. Long range and high speed: Enough range to reach remote and offshore sites almost no unmanned commercial aircraft can reach today, fast enough to fly more missions per day per airframe. Halo is designed for an array of uncrewed commercial missions across search & rescue, logistics, offshore energy, humanitarian & medical cargo, maritime operations and more. Marubeni Corporation is one of our first strategic launch partners for Halo eyeing cargo and logistics use cases, as well as search & rescue.
