🍷 Wine Country starts earlier from PSP! We're excited to announce that Alaska Airlines will launch seasonal nonstop service between Palm Springs International Airport and Santa Rosa on September 10, more than six weeks earlier than last year. The earlier start gives SoCal travelers even more time to enjoy Sonoma County Wine Country this fall. This is part of a broader trend we're seeing at PSP. Working closely with our airline partners, we're continuing to expand seasonal service beyond the traditional winter travel season while pursuing additional year round opportunities. This fall, travelers will also see earlier seasonal service to Houston, Boise, Minneapolis and Austin, creating even more nonstop options from PSP. Tomorrow, Palm Springs International Airport is proud to launch Art@PSP, a new public art program designed to bring the creativity, culture, and character of the Coachella Valley into the airport experience. We'll also unveil the program's inaugural installation, Desert in Motion, by Riverside County artist Patrick Barwinski. The large-scale artwork transforms 14 baggage claim columns into a vibrant celebration of the desert landscapes, architecture, and natural beauty that define our region. As the gateway to Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley, PSP welcomes millions of visitors each year. With a strong track record in capital planning, airline agreements, and airport operations, Victoria has been a key part of PSP’s leadership team — and will help guide the airport through this next chapter of growth. Palm Springs International Airport today announced that Executive Director of Aviation Harry Barrett, Jr., A.A.E., will be departing later this spring to join the Sacramento County Department of Airports. During his time at PSP, Harry helped lead the airport through a period of remarkable momentum, including record passenger growth, expanded air service, and important planning efforts that will help shape PSP’s future. His leadership helped strengthen PSP’s role as both a gateway to the Coachella Valley and an economic driver for our region. We’re grateful for Harry’s contributions to PSP and our community, and we wish him continued success in this next chapter. Palm Springs International Airport is opening the door to large-scale digital art installations inside the terminal, and we’re looking for visual artists ready to think big. As PSP continues to evolve through renovations and guest experience enhancements, our Art Program is helping shape the airport as more than a place of transit. It is a cultural gateway to Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley. ✈️ Investing in the future of PSP Palm Springs International Airport has secured $3 million in federal funding to support an Inline Baggage Handling System Improvement Project, a critical investment that will enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability for our passengers. This funding will allow PSP to modernize behind-the-scenes infrastructure that plays a key role in how bags are screened and moved through the terminal — supporting smoother operations as passenger demand continues to grow.
