This week's journey takes us from a 1929 annual dinner aboard the SS Île de France, to honoring the French Gratitude Train at the Waldorf Astoria in 1949, and welcoming French Prime Minister Jacques Chirac in 1987. 🤳 As you compare these historic photographs with images from our events today, one thing becomes clear: while the venues, fashions, and formats have changed, our mission has remained remarkably consistent. June Was Heating Up! ☀️🇫🇷 📈 France may have been experiencing record-breaking temperatures, but the most meaningful part of June was the opportunity to reconnect with the people and partnerships that make our community so strong. Over the course of several weeks, FACC-NY President Marc Somnolet, Managing Director Polina Bogdanovitch, and Associate Director of ICDP Christel Cogneau met with partners participating in our J-1 Visa Program, reconnected with alumni of the FACC Foundation's Serge Bellanger Graduate Business Scholarship Program, and joined fellow chamber leaders at the annual CCIFI gathering to exchange ideas on supporting businesses navigating international growth. 🤝 After 130 years, one thing remains true: the strength of the French-American business community has always been built on relationships. Not transactions, not meetings—but the trust that's created by staying connected, listening, and continuing the conversation across borders.
