Building cars in Europe, for Europe — alongside a trusted partner. Geely Automobile Holdings and Ford in Europe have announced a strategic manufacturing joint venture (JV) at Ford's Valencia plant in Spain. The JV will produce a new generation of low- and zero-emission passenger vehicles for European markets, with production starting in 2028. The partnership combines Ford Valencia’s half-century-long heritage and advanced manufacturing capabilities with Geely Auto's expertise and supply-chain strengths. Together, the Valencia facility, with a potential annual capacity of 500,000 units, will produce: • Three Ford multi-energy vehicles, including an all-new crossover, a new member of the Bronco family, and the continued production of Kuga • Two Geely electric vehicles This collaboration reflects Geely Holding Group's long-term commitment to open, collaborative partnerships that create local value, support Europe's green mobility transition, and deliver vehicles European customers will choose on merit. Subject to regulatory approvals, the JV is targeted to begin operations in H1 2027.
