GEOMAT is a leading engineering consultancy that has been serving the Four Corners Region and State of New Mexico since 2003. We have offices in Farmington and Albuquerque, NM. We provide geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, special inspections, geotechnical drilling, and environmental phase I services. GEOMAT is a highly qualified firm distinguished for its local expertise, professional service, unsurpassed value and quality in demanding projects. Our approach is simple: take care of the clients. Annually, we provide engineering and testing services on an average of 250 projects of all types and sizes. No project is too small or too large. We have a modern laboratory facilities in both Farmington and Rio Rancho/Albuquerque area and are nationally accredited through AASHTO’s AMRL program in soils, aggregate, and asphalt testing. Our technicians maintain certifications through MSHA, WATQC, NMDOT, CDOT, NICET, and ACI. Additionally, we have our own CME-45 and 55 drill rigs which enables us the ability to better control field sampling, scheduling, and costs on geotechnical projects.

Save the date! Next NMSPE meeting is Wednesday 6/17/26 at noon. We're excited to have as our speaker will be Hank Adair, Utility Director from Farmington Electric Utility System. he will be presenting on the RICE Engine Install. Hank's Bio: After nearly twenty-five years in the investor-owned utility sector, Hank wanted to shift his focus to a public power model and found the perfect fit in the community he grew up in. As the ten-year veteran as the director of FEUS, he leads a group of 193 individuals as they work tirelessly to improve safety, reliability, environmental stewardship, and customer service while keeping their electric rates one of the lowest in the four corners region. Through his guidance and his exceptional team, the American Public Power Association has recognized FEUS at the highest level of Safety Awards of Excellence and as a Platinum Level Reliable Public Power Provider. Hank holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from New Mexico State University and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of New Mexico. When not at work Hank can be found fly fishing in the many jewels our region has.
