From healthcare to education to the arts, they’re pursuing meaningful work that will touch lives and strengthen communities for years to come. Investing in education means investing in community. 🎓💚 We are proud to award the Tom Dickson Scholarship to Reina Paniagua, Jahaniel Pazo Cruz, and Emmanuel Soto, outstanding students in the Dalton State Wright School of Business at Dalton State College. This scholarship honors Tom Dickson, Georgia United’s board chairman, and his leadership and lasting impact — along with his commitment to supporting the Hispanic and Latino community and first‑generation students in his hometown of Dalton, Georgia. Whether she’s leading the marching band or dominating the tennis court, Emily brings creativity and discipline to everything she does at Grayson High School. An AP Scholar and accomplished musician, she blends academics with artistry and leadership. Emily is our Polly Hinde Scholarship winner and plans to study business and music technology with the hope to one day create a nonprofit program for children in her community. Leadership comes naturally to Micah Browning at Heritage High School. From serving as Student Council President to raising over $30,000 to support his school community, giving back is just part of who he is. With more than 200 service hours, Micah leads with purpose and heart. As our Geraldine Tilson Scholarship winner, Micah plans to study finance with the goal of reinvesting in his community through scholarships of his own. Leadership at Trip Elementary School takes many forms, and Tenecia fills more than a few of them. From curriculum leadership to Title I coordination, her commitment to growth doesn’t stop there. She’s now pursuing an advanced degree to deepen her impact even further. As president of SkillsUSA and an audio‑video and film standout, he’s turned creativity into opportunity — all while maintaining a stellar academic record. As our T. Randall Dennis Scholarship recipient, Brady plans to study communications at Dalton State.
