    Today, we reported strong second quarter 2026 earnings results and, given our strong first half performance, we increased our 2026 financial guidance.     As we look back on our results for this quarter, it is clear that GE Vernova is uniquely positioned to meet accelerating global electricity demand. Economic growth, grid modernization, electrification, data center expansion, and the need for more reliable, resilient electricity are creating sustained demand for our platform of solutions, growing our backlog to $176B. To meet this moment, we are expanding production capacity in a capital-efficient manner to support strong global demand for our Power and Electrification solutions. Our large and growing installed base is generating future growth with expanding margins, and we're investing in new technologies, such as the nuclear small modular reactor and solid state transformer. In the second quarter, we delivered strong financial results and we raised our full year financial guidance. Segment highlights include:   ▪️ Power: Our combined backlog and slot reservation agreements increased from 100 to 116 gigawatts, and we now anticipate reaching at least 125 GW by year-end 2026. We remain on track to deliver 20 GW of annual gas turbine output in the third quarter of 2026, with 24 GW in 2028, and we're implementing actions to produce 30 GW in 2030 utilizing lean and incremental machinery in our existing factory footprint.   ▪️ Electrification: Electrification booked $2.7B of data center orders, bringing total segment data center orders to over $5B for the first half of 2026, more than double the full year of 2025.   ▪️ Wind: In Onshore Wind, we are driving a more profitable services business, especially in the U.S. where we see approximately 10 GW of potential for repowering by the end of the decade.    We're operating from a position of financial strength, with a healthy $13.1B cash balance and $3.9B of cash returned to shareholders in the first half of 2026.   We're building momentum while still in very early stages, with significant opportunity ahead.     The Energy of Change starts with people. From classrooms and research labs to the technologies powering communities around the world, we're inspired by those helping build the next chapter of the energy transition with our new research facility in Niskayuna, New York.

    To the extent any place feels like home to us at GE Vernova, it’s our presence in the New York Capital region—where Thomas Edison founded GE in 1892 in Schenectady and where today we continue to build and innovate some of the world’s most important technologies in the same space.   Today, we started a new chapter in our story by opening the doors to our newest home: the expanded GE Vernova Advanced Research Center Frontier Campus 12 miles away in Niskayuna, New York. This $110 million expansion—a collaborative investment between GE Vernova and the State of New York—is more than just a new facility. It is a powerful example of how public-private partnerships can accelerate the technologies needed to electrify and decarbonize our world.   Unlocking the next generation of energy solutions is critical to solving some of the world’s greatest challenges, and GE Vernova is committed to providing top-notch research facilities to power those innovations. It was a privilege to welcome our federal, state, and local partners to the campus today. As we toured six key technology demonstrations—from Direct Air Capture to AI-based robotics—the theme was clear: innovation to impact.   As with any new home, we were honored to be joined by our favorite friends and family to celebrate.     Every engineer discovers their path differently. For Lauren te. Riele, engineer at GE Vernova, it started when friends recognized her talent for calculus and encouraged her to explore engineering. Not every student gets that kind of early exposure. Many don't have opportunities to experience engineering until much later in their educational journey. That's why GE Vernova launched Engineers of Change: to help students explore engineering earlier, build real-world skills, and discover what's possible. Lauren's story is a reminder that a single moment of encouragement can shape a career.
